City Club Ghosts...?

SO...to make a long story short, before I even begin to ask, I clicked on the intro post for our newest member that apparantly has a chronically full bladder, and there was a story in there from her about a guy back in 1996, found a hole in the wall near the dance floor, climbed up the wall from inside it, made it onto the drop-panel ceiling...and? He fell THROUGH. That's right, all 20-30 ft off the ground (just picture yourself at CC falling through that bitch. Would definately ruin your night, if not your entire month, that's assuming you lived).

The guy lopped off most of his tongue upon impact, was obviously very inebriated, and I'm assuming that if he hadn't been drunk he would have most likely died. He got away LUCKY...but I call my boyfriend (Raven) who used to work security at CC and he's like "Yeah, yeah, I've heard about that one. There's an assload of ghost stories about that place and quite a few people have died there."

So...obviously intrigued by my morbid love for dead peoples and how they achieved that status, I started this thread to ask the simple question: What have you heard?

I do know we have some CC staff on this messageboard (i.e. DarkRacer, Bishop, etc) and was just wondering who else died in the nightclub that so many of us call home on Saturdays, and how did they die?

I'm expecting a lot of overdose answers, especially from back in the 80's and 90's era, but I'm wondering what other stuff happened too.

I've searched the internets and came up with nothing, so enlighten us, please? (You don't have to have worked there to answer obviously. You can post something too even if it's just hearsay or a rumor, it's still fun to read!)

That is just NUTZ. Yeah Raven had only heard about it from other staff, obviously he woulda been 14 in 1996, I was 12, so neither of us were there for obvious reasons .

The other crazy one I Gotta Pee wrote was that when the 6 & 8th floors of the Ramada were cleared out after being unlivable for god-knows-how-long they found an ARM. Just an arm. No nothing else...a lone limb just trapped up there for however long for whatever reason.

Yeah I have pictures of the 4th floor, I wanna go back there sometime. I know how to get in it from the 5th floor but just haven't done it.

Apparantly this was awhhhhhile ago with the 6 & 8th floors, probably before either of our time.

HA! And Raven said that it wasn't the 4th floor that was abandoned...I knew I was right. I was like "No see...I have pictures...from a website for abandoned Detroit places".

Actually, something that is interesting, is that the explorers who broke into the 4th floor to take those pics were non-goth and accidentally broke into CC too, not realizing what it was (broke into the stairwell where you walk in from that mysterious door at the top). So they took all these pictures of what they called "astonishing and highly disturbing grafitti" wondering how vandals could have "broken in that many times to finish the work" and when I look at the pictures it's just the black, white, and grey mural that goes up the entrance stairs . Obviously I had a pretty good laugh at that one.

i had no idea he was doing crazy spiderman shit between the wallz till he fell from above!!!! if you can consider him almost knocking me over while dancing when he fell seeing him fall then i guess i did(i was almost was directly under him)but i would def say i was the first or one of a few to actually see him hit the floor.........he was laying there, not moving...with a chunk of sumthin(his tongue)laying near his head-looked like a chunk of bloody meat to me-and a pool of blood was growing quite quickly around his head and shoulderz!!!!! my uncle was there not working that night but was one of their security gaurdz then so i was one of the last people thrown out that night.......it was neat to be there for that! and sorta a part of it. it wasnt till the next day that i knew what was on the floor next to him.....i wonder if that guy can even talk since then?

Marc, (not the one on the board), provided first medical response. (he is a paramedic) his eye popped out a bit, not all dangly or anything. But Marc had a clean cup brought over ehich he covered it up with then waited to have him hauled off to the hospital.

Later Mike asked that he testify in court on behalf of CC. The guy was on prescription medication and was drinking underage. He had no idea what he was doing. C was cleared of the lawsuit.
