Wouldn't You Agree That Imitation

Recommended Posts

What exactly is a poser, Brian? Is it like, someone who emulates the mannerisms and actions of another, without truly understanding the substance and reasons behind the originals actions and mannerisms? Or does insight even matter? Could a poser simply be someone who slavishly emulates an original, while an imitator only follows the basic theme of what the original did?

If that is too deep, sorry.

I think sometimes we settle for imitations because we can't have the original..

In my opinion, imitations are never better than the original, if the imitator never sets out for anything better than what they have to emulate. I don't think it's a form of flattery, I believe most times it's a lack of creativity.

Unless you imitate/emulate something and make it your own (make it better).. THAT is a form of flattery, allows all parties to have a platform/competing arena... and pushes the originator to be even that much more creative to keep in the game..
