Homicidalheathen
I love to fly. Have flown a couple small private planes and wanted to for a living......until I found out i have a slight color blindness thing going on. Guess its not gonna happen thus. I hear you can't if you have this...........that true? No school for me right now........its the kids turn. K used to fix planes......hmmmm.........he hates his sales thing right now. They all look like rather specialized positions one would already have to have the training for and he was working on planes coming back from Vietnam a looong time ago. alaska sunrise
Hey chief!I have always been interested in helicopter pilot lessons. Can you advise & or give your opinion? I have experience in hang gliding but no motorized air experience. Hey bud.... The helicopter field actually pays more in the maintance aspect of things but as far as lessons goes, surprisinglyI know of a few schools from when I was going to aviation school.... I think this would be a great idea if you have some extra time on your hands and of course some extra cash to get started...I hear on the average lessons could cost anywhere from $100 in the classroom to $300 during operations per hour....yes per hour so this could get a bit expensive...Some schools that were recommended to myself are in michigan and are the GREAT LAKES HELICOPTER, LLC which is located in new hudson....HELIFLIGHT OF MICHIGAN is located in troy and they strive to poroduce the most professional pilots from useing some of their late model aircraft....MAGNUM HELICOPTERS sounds very tempting from the variety of training that they provide with helicopter..their in Waterford.....I would definetly get into ot of you have the time....One of the differnces from a helicopter to an airplane is that if the tail rotor fails, your flight will be swinging dangeroulsy from side to side....if your main rotor goes, your flight will most likely go down....the BK units are similar to a transmission....of a car with gears etc....and that is located in the rotor.....Now if a turbine engine fails on a aircraft....even if two turbines fail on a 4 combo aircraft,,,the pilot should still be able to balance and safely land the aircraft......hope this helps for now.... Dont give up and if you need anyinfo on the school here in michigan...I can completly fill you in.....one of my favorite war planes is the north american b-25 mitchell....Three years prior to Pearl Harbor, the US Army Air Corps solicited bids for a twin-engined attack bomber as specified under USAAC Circular Proposal 38-385. The North American B-25 Mitchell became standard equipment for the Allied Air Forces in World War II and was perhaps the most versatile aircraft of the war. It became the most heavily armed airplane in the world, was used for high-and low-level bombing, strafing, photo reconnaissance, sub patrol and even as a fighter. 9,900 Mitchells were produced from late 1939 to 1945. The B-25 flew with the USAAF, the US Navy, Marine Corps, British, Dutch and Australia. Bomb capacity was 5,000 pounds. Incredibly, some versions carried a 75 mm Howitzer which proved highly effective against Japanese shipping. One version carried eight .50-caliber guns in the nose, which provided 14 forward-firing guns. ....cya...

I heard the fact that if one has a eye disorder or vision loss, etc......the chances of professionaly flying the aircraft are pretty slim....but i beleive that you can own your own small plane like the cessnas or the little pt mustangs and are able to matain them on your own-flying wise....as far as the maintance goes....one must have their license to perform legal inspections and maintance through the faa.......
