I told my Dad "Happy Memorial Day" today...bad idea...He went on for like 5 min about how there's nothing happy about Memorial Day and asking if I knew how many ppl died for our country and asking if I was happy that ppl were dying...I will NVR tell my dad Happy Memorial Day again lol.

My dad said thanks....he loved being in the navy...he still says it was the best time of his life. He got to swim with dolphins...learned boxing...and traveled.

My man was in the air force which I would have joined myself if I were not slightly color blind cause I love to fly. (I can't tell some greens from blues or purples)

My uncle too...most of my family did their 4 yr stints...

If everyone who is able did their part no one would have to worry about drafts and stuff.

Personally think everyone should do 4 yrs that can.

My dad did he was CPO in the Navy. He played a small part in Viet Nam. He was pretty much just a mechanic so he spent a lot of his time on the vessels. My dad just does not think that it's a happy thing...I mean yeah so many have died, but they died fighting for our freedom...I never had a problem when someone says "Happy Memorial Day" but different ppl feel different, and my dad just has a really strong opinion.
