We use to get the toys r us catalogs and circle the stuff we wanted. We didn't get everything of course but it was fun to dream and then get dissapointed.  :laughing

It's depressing that the "retro" cartoon crap they sell at Hot Topic are shows I grew up with... and the kids they're marketing to don't have a clue what it is! *L*

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I've noticed that the 80's are very "in" right now amongst the kids.

as well they should be. the 80's are awesome!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

for whatever reason the 80's seem to be the most missed decade ever. Radio stations have 80's hours, nick at night is almost exclusively 80's shows now, there's a slew of new bands basically just imitating 80's bands like Kaiser Chiefs (who look like Duran Duran), Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Interpol, Bloc Party, The Faint, Ladytron.....and bands like New Order and the Smiths are more popular now than they were in their 1980's prime.......retro videogaming is "cool"......kids wear t-shirts of atari, justice league of america, Rubiks Cube, HeMan, etc....

the 1980's....apparently America can't get past it.

... old and scary ...

when i was young.. first learning to drive and all that, 136mph down 94 didnt seem like even a half-bad idea...

...now, 95mph is about how fast i travel... its like this "old voice" in my head overrides the "young voice" and i think of consequences as a serious thing now...

..i used speeding as an example because speed has always been a favorite thing of mine..

getting older is fun to me.. i really view many things differently now after a bunch of trial-error-experience-mistake-consequences-mental notes..

... old and SMART(ER) ... :innocent
