Good advice. Any time you have a recurring people-related problem, you need to ask yourself "why am I attracted to this kind of person, and/or why do I attract them to me?"

Tokagemaru & I got stood up a lot when we first got into the lifestyle... now we're better at picking people who are "for real" and it hasn't happened in a while.

Anyway, I'm sorry that you were stood up. It's actually happened to many of us at one point or another. Funny thing is that I've had "friends," not boyfriends, do this to me. They call, say they wanna meet up, then they vanish into thin air. Once someone does this to me, then I'm done screwing around and simply choose not to associate with them that closely. Sure, I might be polite to them in passing, but I will not rely on them or agree to hang out with them.

i always thought that being stood up was when someone didn't have a good reason for not showing. like "something came up" things like that...

but what if its a genuine reason? like say, wanting to follow through w/ plans, but as the day progressed, started feeling worse and worse, due to health issues?

i mean, you can't hold it against someone who has health issues... besides... they may not feel well, go anyways, and ruin the night. I'd say, go do whatever it was you were going to do. sometimes things happen in a person's own body that they don't have control over.... keep that in mind before you get mad... especially if they were in the hospital for certain reasons, a few days before said event.

I cannot stand white knights that accept getting walked over for the delusion that they may someday have a chance. It's really funny though because you get girls who ocasionaly complain on here about their asshole guy and gripe about wishing they'd find a nice guy. It's safe to assume they have a nice guy giving them attention, but actions speak louder than words, if the chicks really had it together in their head, they'd go for him instead of stickin with the asshole. i got stood up by a friend once, and we are not friends anymore. more to it than that but that just did it for me.

got stood up by ANOTHER guy and i married that one. that lasted nearly 9 years... but then i got rid of him too.

got stood up by another friend once and didn't want to talk to him for awhile... got over that one and we are the best of friends to this day.
