Awwww, babygirl!

You must heed the Goddess when She calls!

Luna is the most impatient of all!

If you need a ride to any of the solstice festivities, let me know. :)

P.S. I was pledged to Her a month before my 12th birthday..I went down to the river and did the "Moon, moon," spell, just as my Gran taught me. She has been in my heart and a part of my life ever since..

weird...heh thanks for bringing to mind that on the other side of the world they be doing just the opposite I forget to remember that sometimes.

My mother in law is Lutheran but is from old Germany by old I mean she was raised waay out on a farm someplace no electricity or running water.

They used to do this...she told us this story over a wonderful dinner she made last night and it really made thing 2 smile...

She said they wanted to assist in the 'turning of the wheel of the year' (round earth, sun...calendar)

And they would light a wheel on fire and roll it down the hill and then dance around a bonfire all night.

Me and thing 2 said yup, a lutheran with latent pagan tendancies lol

This would be a big deal considering people didn't have skating rinks...bars....movies....it brought the community together.

This is also good:

Summer Solstice Ritual

Saturday, June 21st

Botsford's Recreational Preserve, 3015 Miller, Ann Arbor

2 - 5 PM

Come join us as we honor Bel and Danu, our primal father and mother deities. There will be a raffle and potluck following the ritual. All welcome. (Rain date: June 22nd)

Personally I think ADF is the only worthwhile organzied pagan group in the area...but they are kinda far so I stay solitare.

That place I listed in Ferndale is having a all night dance (solstice) party
