I never liked Spike after he went all computer chip good boy.

I was always an Angel fanboi, definite mancrush on David Boreanaz. Buffy turning Angel evil by giving up the cherry was definitely the best plot twist of any show.

After Buffy died the first time the chain was broken and no longer applied to her so she could walk away any time. Admirable.

Angel cursed with a soul. That says it all, CURSED. Break the curse and evil ensues. WEAK.

Spike is progressive, he changes with the times, not merely blending in but changes. Add the chip and you have Spike on a leash. Take the chip away (or damage it) and you still have Spike. Add a soul you still have Spike he just has a soul and if you where to take it away he would still be Spike. Spike was different from the beginning, his every motivation was ultimately driven by love, sometimes sick and twisted sometimes innocent but never the less it was and will always be love that drives the third coolest blond in history.

i like spike, i felt angel was tortured soul and was fighting for the chance to be human and have redemption because he was cursed with it. but when spike a seemingly total evil vamp fights for his soul in the name of the most good,pure thing there is....love. that twist of events shocked me. hey does anybody remember the awesome fight they had and spike won?
