I especially like the one of the "tattoo artist/black-eye painter" in the Bowery!

What a novel trade..making the black eyes of sailors who got into bar fights look more natural..

NYC is an impressive city with a rich history, but I'd never want to live there. Great pics though. I love the end of "Gangs of New York" where they show the skyline change over time. At least I think it was that movie.
