Gratiot Ave. I went to get my check this morning and there was a mixed smell of homeless guy barf (not to be mistaken for NON homeless guy barf...it doesn't have the same, pissy...b.o. smell mixed in with it...oh and alchohol...) rotting corpse....exhaust fumes....some lose garbage...and stale shit.

Why does Gratiot stink so bad this time of year? Thing 2 is right. Winter ROCKS because it freezes the people stench.

Crickets.

I don't know if any of you have ever had them as feeder animals, but they stink like a combination of foot cheese (think of your ol' man's ROTTENEST dirty work-socks), and mildew.

I absolutely hate crickets for many reasons besides the awful smell, but they're cheap and my critters seem to like them.

I work for salvation army...in the back with all the brand new donations.

I have found things covered in piss, shit, and gods know what else. Not to mention one time I got a

box that smelled like rotting flesh...needless to say I was not interesed in seeing what was inside.

Not to mention some of my co-workers never seem to bathe, oh and the restrooms that get cleaned

once a month(and its only that often due to my bitchin)

But in the end all the pretty treasures I find almost make up for it.

Ahhh, the joys of being a lonesome bachelorette with a million things to do..this can be conducive to frequent science projects. :p

I came across some sort of putrid liquid in the crisper bin of my refrigerator today. This must have occured without my knowledge during the big power outage, when my freezer melted down a bit.

There is some sort of awful meat blood-water stuff, mixed with a putrefying green and yellow pepper, some onion skins, and what appears to have been a cucumber.

I cannot BEGIN to describe this odour, but it will be gone momentarily-- once I take the hose to it out-of-doors.

I cleaned the bottom of the fridge last week, but I didn't think to look in the damned crisper drawer. *narf*

I was out trail riding around the edges of a farmers field this afternoon, and smelled something beyond putrid. My horse spooked a little and bolted forward. When he finally settled down we were face to face with a dead coyote. :yucky:

I was assisting on a surgery when a bowel tumor of "unknown origin" was accidentally pierced during exploratory surgery.

The scrub nurse actually threw up behind her surgical mask it was so nasty--the rest of us almost did but maanged to keep it together.

Reading that made me a little nauseous. Good job.

Gawd, yes. I'm fanatical about cleaning my cricket cages every couple days 'cos I can't STAND the smell. So the cricket cages weren't bad today... but the rats' cage was rather foul. I gotta get them a bigger cage so I can start litter training them.
