I loved how the rock had its own turn...that shit cracked me up. All of sudden you're like "Okay...it's the rock's turn" and I'd laugh everytime. I'm easy to entertain.

It's a moving trap, how else was i supposed to work it?

I've been playing 3.5 for about 3 years now, I like it but I always wished they'd dumb down the rules just slightly... Man, they too it WAY to far with 4.0... Horrible! I was looking threw the books and I couldn't believe how simple it was... And what the hell? Tieflings as a main race and no Gnomes?! WTF? And whats with the Dragon born? First off, Tieflings are made by having a Demon in your bloodline, how could this be a race?! And Dragon Born as a race? They're just far to different from the other races to mix will if you ask me, maybe if they looked like Argonians as in Oblivion I would buy it, but they look like over grown bearded dragons with swords. Not a friendly race.

Yeah Spook, I've seen that. I still don't like it. I mean, I've played a Tiefling in 3.5 before, but I don't think it should be considered a main race. How common is it for someone to have a demon in they're blood line?! They don't really seem like the family type. lol

Well, I did it. I just purchases the core rulebook gift set through Amazon.com. I just don't feel right paying $100+ for an updated edition I'm not sure I'll like, but less than $70 from Amazon and free shipping? That's worth it to me.

I won't buy anything 4E... WotC pooched the screw with this edition. I mean they just dumped 30 years of tradition and history out the window, made a completely new game system and slapped the D&D brand on it. It should be called WoW the tabletop edition more than D&D. The new rules are for 6 year olds. Every class does pretty much the same thing in it's given Role. Monsters are combat only creations with no thought given for how they exist outside of an encounter, their ecology if you will.

I'm staying with 3.5 and updating it with Pathfinder from Paizo. At least they know how to treat their customers and community.

My friends and I started playing 4th edition. I've heard mixed opinions on it, a lot of older players seem to dislike it. I have a Tiefling Infernal Warlock which I later found out is cliche, but oh well. Apparently in 4th edition Warlock's are only chicks? Screw that.

What's really pissing me off, is that I have a bunch of spells I can't even use against level ones, because my constitution isn't high enough, so I don't know if me or the dm is playing wrong, or if I'm just screwed.

I've only glanced at the PHB so I really don't know anything yet. But ... Why'd they ditch some classes that have been around since AD&D and why ditch half-orc in favor of dragon kin or whatever? And what's up with having something listed for every single level of advancement? It looks like they turned it into a video game.

I believe the idea was to make it more user friendly to people who have never played an actual table top game. They're marketing to the new computer gamers which is why the rules and design of the game have been altered so drasticly. Personally, I'll most likely stick with AD&D and 3.0.
