It's not legal...

but I want to be "buried" in a tomb in the side of a mountain. No emblaming... No preservatives. Seal my in a cave and let me go to dust.

Creative I like it....

I would like to be given to science/medicine for study and organ donation, and whatever is left over turned into plant food or fertilizor... I honestly won't give a crap when I am dead, but it will be nice to live my life knowing that my remains will continue to be useful in some way....

i want to be cremated and scattered.

not that it "means something to me" to do it this way - i just think it is a waste of land to be buried in a casket.

and i think the idea of embalming is disgusting, for many reasons.

and i think it is pointless to keep my ashes in a vase on a frickin mantel so people can look at it and remember i am in there.

so burn me and scatter me and there will be no waste or taken up space.

I like that answer, but I just can't bring myself to sign the back of my license because I have a fear of them cutting me up before I'm really gone. If I ever get over that I will. I realize it's an irrational fear, but I've read a few stories where people came back from comas and it kind of haunts me.

and becoming fertilizer appeals to me. I don't want to be embalmed.

There are green burials you can pay for in advance. I may do this one day:

There is a company that will compress the carbon in your body to create a diamond. That's what I want. Eternal life, through the form of a precious gem.

The rest of my ashes - according to my will - are currently set to be scattered in the Detroit river from a park in Wyandotte that's become a significant part of my memories, my emotional makeup.

Cremation, and NO FUNERAL.

A wake perhaps, but funerals are barbaric. I wouldnt put any of my relations through that kind of hell. Have a party instead, drink, eat, and talk about me. We did this for David's dad, because that's what he wanted (we did it about a month after he was gone, it was better for the greiving process i think), and it was so much better than a funeral. More remembering, less crying and staring at an upsetting shellacked shell that's no longer your loved one. *shiver* ew.....

I'll be placed on a sailboat and sunk in the Puerto Rico Trench, roughly 5 miles down.

For shits and giggles I'll have messages in bottles buried with me, hopefully some will eventually pop out and find their way to civilization hundreds/thousands of years after I'm gone.

After everything usable is harvested...skin eyes organs I have not trashed with drugs or alcohol...anything students can learn on...IF there is much left...it will be cremated and sprinkled over the corn field hill by my parents house where I had my first and most important spiritual experiences of my life. Coarse if its condos by then out to lake st clair. Yes its illegal but my kids are stealthy like panthers. No prob.

Since my first job revolved around death (Mortuary Transportation), this is something I have given alot of thought, My funeral will be a celebration of my life. I don't want a eulogy in the classic sense, just friends and family telling stories about some of the stupider things i've done, and the skit "This parrot is no more" by monty python has to be played once (my last name is parrott). I'm still debating between cremation and embalming, but if I get embalmed this will be my casket

although unless I amass a fortune sometime before I die, it'll be a cremation. Death is very very expensive.

i think it was the vikings who would set your body in a boat, light it afire, adn then send it out across the water...

either that, or a funeral pyre, to "release my spirit to the wind", so to speak...

or possibly, be cut up for steaks, for those that are curious, to give a taste-test!! :stuart:
