well that makes more sense to me because i don't think i had 104 earlier. maybe the time is messed up... and it was adding posts that i really did last night... and.... i don't know. i just don't think i made that many posts today. not even 96. :p

There's a modification for the board that translates post counts more in line with the actual word-count average, so a "post count" would be like +1 for the one or two liners, + 2 for the paragraph long posts, etc. I'm guessing some of us that are prone to posting long form detailed posts would suddenly skyrocket in post count if that ever happened.

It is calculated back 24 hours.....so it changes ALL the time

Yeah thats a change to the software in one of the last few versions I'm not sure if i like or not. It used to just start the calculation at like midnight and go until the next midnight. So early in the day you'd have very low post counts, and toward the end of the night the post counts would be higher. *ponders*

The best way would be for it to calculate from midnight to midnight and THEN post the post counts (and not update them again for another 24 hours) so the number your looking at would actually be yesterdays total.

I think it should calculate from noon till noon...since it is a GOTH board...

I would imagine keeping track through the day from midnight to midnight would make the most sense.... is it not able to keep up dynamically? How hard can that be?

Well it is currently extreemly dynamic. (If i'm understanding your meaning) Thus the constant changing of the numbers. Before it was more static. I think there is a way to revert it without too much trouble to the old system, I'm just not sure of the pros/cons ratio between the two systems.
