I knew beans would make the list. They are good for revenge too...I went into thing 1's room today (I had a been burrito for dinner last night) I had one saved up from my sleep...ya know the big stinky kind...anyway...she kept me awake so I wait until she goes to eat and go in her room and let er rip and closed the door.

:w00t:

You don't want to piss me off. I have my ways.

I was vegan for years....beans are called 'poor mans meat'

No Problem. :)

I go in spurts with eggs. I never cared much for them most of my life, but when I'm keeping an eye on my carb and fat intake, and need to up my protein at the same time they are a good friend to me, and I go thru quite a few of them. Enough to finally acquire a taste for them a few years back.

That's what my friend told me... I think she was talking about the place in Ferndale. Which might make sense. Shall I confirm that info? ;-)

For sure! The only problem with organic is its expense.

  • 3 weeks later...

Broccoli, eggs, kale, oats (in oatmeal form), squash, tofu, spinach, coffee- yuk. Everything else I could live with... except for bananas & watermelon which I'm allergic to.

I'm not sure a serving of wild rice is less than $1 tho... That stuff is NOT cheap. I wanted some for a recipe the other day but ended up passing on it. Maybe she meant to say brown rice?

If I were to go buy everything on that list, milk, eggs, potatoes, bananas, broccoli and garbanzo beans would be the only things that would get eaten. A piece or 2 of watermelon is delicious at someone's barbeque, but I can't stand the stickiness of having to prepare on myself. One or two leaves worth of spinach is good once a week, the rest would go to waste. I might use the oats or wild rice if a specific recipie called for them, but by themselves, ick. I'd buy the whole grain pasta in an attempt to eat healthier, then I'd keep passing it over for the box of regular spaghetti next to it. Apples might get made into apple pie if I felt adventurous, I hate fresh apples. Everything else, yuck!
