I realize I'm 700 miles away from Michigan Frank's stores. But I grew up in those damned shops. When Michaels (formerly LeeWards) didn't have something, Franks offered choice alternatives.

That just really sucks.

I worked for Frank's when they came out of the previous chapter 11. The ceo they hired at the time did some great work pulling them out, but he wanted to make a lot of high end interior products available. Problem is the clientele especially downriver where my store was, wasn't really demanding of high end things. They all enjoy lower prices. He never really figured out that those little old ladies are suckers for a coupon, hence why Michael's and JoAnn's stores do well. But, He did all right for at least a little while in clearing out backstock.
