Hair do ideas

Recommended Posts

Ok so, I want to go chop my hair off again. It's at shoulder length so its not like I'm limited for options here. I'm looking for something new/different from what I've got. Right now it was cut with a razor for those long chunky layers and its styled longer in the front and shorter in the back. I'm going to get a dye job along with it and I already know how I want that... I'm just sick of these normal plain jane style cutts I've been stuck with lately. Does anyone know of any spiffy styles or sites??

I'm no hair stylist but I like toying with ideas of what I would/could do with my own hair, should I have the motivation/time/money and ability.

Anywho, if your hair is shoulder length, DO try to keep your hair slightly like it is now. With the longer bits, enable them to frame your face. Maybe dye your hair so it's one dark colour, and then add a brighter, contrasting colours towards the ends..... or vice versa. (( maybe a dark burgundy and then a hot pink or a light blue, if you want a wild colour )).

That's just my random idea..... e.e

I was thinking about that since the "hubby" wants me to grow it long but I have no patience... and I get bored with it and it starts to get on my nervous when it starts to curl at a certain length. I'm cursed with the spiral-ish type hair that I have to constantly use certain types of shampoos/conditioners, hair products, ect. for. Otherwise I end up looking like a fuzz head.

Anyway, when I get it dyed, it's going to have black and deep (yet bright enough to really see) purple and dark blue streaks. I love to play with colors. I was just hoping someone knew of a stylist or site that had some new spiffy ideas. Chances are I'll stick with how its done now, I'll just make the front look a bit more longer then the back. Thanks for the suggestions so far!

Oh and Granted - Ha! If I could buzz my hair off like that and do some spikes without looking like a total ass - maybe... But nope, can't do that

Wood glue, really? I just knew someone who used egg whites, Jello, and Final Net hairspray. Seemed to work OK for her...

Whatever happened to that one? -just a bit of wood glue and a quick ironing and you were set for the week...

Eggs whites make a very nice glue, you use them to make tempara paint actually...wood glue is a bit more resistant though, you let it dry a bit and then have someone iron it out and you can almost murder with the spikes you've got afterwards...

All I have to say is I FINALLY have a hair appointment tomorrow afternoon. Though I dye my hair myself, I want some darker strips added to it. Plus, I need the yucky ends trimmed off and my bangs evened out by a professional.

Check out the Clairol link below for color ideas.

Check out the 2nd & 3rd links for style ideas.

Do a search on google for " virtual hairstyle" or similar terms for a few free sites where you can upload a pic of yourself and try different hairstyles on and see how you'd look.

There are some pay sites for that too.

See, If I could go back to my natural colour I think I would, it just looks like shit on me. I have dark blond hair which makes me look like I have a tan of sorts. I like how darker hair looks on me cuz it makes my skin look a bit lighter. Looking at my drivers license, the old v.s. new - yuck - glad my new one looks a hell of a lot better.

So I doubt you'll lose your "goth" card Brenda - Go for it! Revamps are always fun to do, especially if you haven't made a change in a while. I always try something new adleast 4 times a year and if it doesn't look right - I change it up again.

*Err! Has anyone tried those stupid root touch ups? - I normally hate this brand with a passion - but its the only one who has came out with something for the roots... Nice & Easy? Yea well, its not so Nice or Easy - we all know its shit for your hair, but when your down to the last couple duckets and its cheaper.. hmm.. So I tried this and it was annoying as all hell. Normally I have no problems with dye in general, but I find that they don't give you enough first off, then they give you this tiny try to work with - err, no.. you end up with a bigger mess then you would hope for and the color looks like shit...

lol....

I love revamping! I do it all the time. I did the all-over copper this weekend, and it looks pretty hot. It even gives me color. I'm usually super-pale, and it gets old at times. Now that I don't glow in the dark, I actually like it. I think I'll add a few blonde chunks....

I have a hairstyle formula of sorts around here somewhere for a sort of sloppy plaid inspired look, but my hair may never be long enough for it. I dream about it though. blondes, reds, browns, and blacks mostly.

though what I really want are some nice blues and purples that will actually STAY IN and not stain my pillows. So on that note, i like the idea of the purple and blue streaks.

Everytime I've had my hair streaked - I've asked for permanent. The first time she said she would use semi permanent to see if I would like it - Chances are only the reds are perm colors but even if the blues and purples don't stay - I should be able to adleast get a lighter plum to put over the streaks when they start to fade to bring it back to life - so to speak. I've done that before when the red started to fade and it covered nicely and still showed the streaks quite well. But yea - blue ad purple sounds like a wicked mix to add a bit of color to my boring black hair

Egg whites All the fucking way!!!!!

That is what I use.

Set fast, great for your hair, and the egg yolks good for cooking^^

Far better then any glue, hair spray, mop & glow, wax or paints

Well for me.

Nothing beats waking up with almost purfet liberty spikes.

My mohawk maxed at 28" and didn't take long to spike. Alone (8 minutes)

Spray paint works great too.

Just try not to hit any thing.

It will snap off! x.x

Hmm.. egg whites.. not just a healthy alternative to all the cholesterol of just plain egg yolks anymore..

I had a friend that used to use Knox-Blox.. not bad for your hair either, but it flaked during the day..
