Why haven't I found any topics related to this event? Is it good? Looks interesting from what I saw on the site; though not necessarily my thing, I have been to several similar events in Japan and it was great fun. But I know nothing about it and no one going. Anyone care to discuss it/enlighten me? ^^

I'm happy that the event will be held at I-Lounge...I love this venue. It worked out great when Noir had their last Hellbound back in February and they have a nice-size stage area with a high-ceiling which will be great for the fashion shows & if there is any fire-play. Lots of comfy couch-seating & floor space for dancing as well.

Vena is one of the Promoters, and she did an AWESOME job promoting Exotica & getting all the events on stage, etc. For those of you who want to be club/event Promoters, you need to meet her. Plus, she is a gorgeous model & super nice too.

So...question...is it actually a good kinda gothy thing where we all dress up in our nicest and have a good time or just another sleazy titty show that exploits "goth" in order to sell things like that stupid crap that took over CC about three months ago?

Hmm...I am very straight, but I would still rather see titties than penis in a show like this. I just hope it's artfully done by attractive people rather than ill-fitting/ill-planned nakedness by..less-than-attractive people. And I hope for good entertainment. I've never been to an event that had real male nudity, but I have been to several events which had female upper nudity as part of the show (like torso-painting or needle-corsetry or the like). I've never really seen female lower nudity in a public show either I think, though I think it'd still show up before male. I think the only way there'd be male nudity/penii (haha would that be the plural??) would be like an actual sex show...and no thank you.

There will be no full-on nudity of either gender as Oakland County requires privates to be covered at any club serving alcohol. Kinda sucky because it also applies to DEAC even though we won't be drinking.

Really? From the website I thought it implied you guys could take artful nudes. I assume you are referring to the photography sessions before and after the ball? I guess just not full nudes?

Most shooting Saturday will be at Clutch. I'm bummed that I won't be able to shoot there because I'm only shooting Sunday, and the only venue for shooting then is at MONA.

It's BDSM (Bondage/Domination/Sado-Masochism) related so attracts a slightly different crowd than CC. It's not about exposing parts, etc., it's about fetish & adult role-play. So if you don't mind seeing people giving foot service, getting spanked, tied up, or other forms of adult-playing, then you may like it.

I had a semi-reasonable time but nothing spectacular. The "VIP" room was the biggest rip-off ever. I hope the people running it read this. Clue: In order to charge money for something, there should be something worthwhile obtained for that money. I will tell everyone possible that the VIP room is a huge ripoff.

This. Actually I think we should be able to get our money back - they promised in multiple places shows in that room, and I am 100% convinced there was not a single one. I checked it out at at least 4 times at which I was told there would be a show in there, and no show. Not that the shows on the main stage were all that impressive, but it's the principle of the thing. Luckily $20 is still less than I'm accustomed to paying for events, or I would have made a bit of a stink about it. But I am convinced that no one involved in the putting on of this event has any idea what they are doing.

Agreed. I was expecting something similar to Exotica (April, CC). I paid the extra $10 for the VIP upfront, but next time won't be doing that till I check out the VIP room FIRST to see if it is worth paying that money.

The rest of the party was fine & I had a nice time. The typical BDSM community that I saw at Exotica skipped X-ball, so I am not sure what that was all about. By the end of the night, the crowd was basically just a typical goth/punk crowd (no biggie). The organizers closed the party down at 2:30 which surprised me because I was told the party was supposed to go till 3am.

I agree the the vip room was a rip off. I wont spend the extra ten next time. There wasnt a ton of stuff going on but I had a blast with a group of friends anyway
