Not sure what Battletech is, however. Quick overview, anyone?

You get a little robot(actually HUGE but it needs to fit a game on a table)...OR 4 if your a Lance Commander...you arm it(or use a standard template)..you run around a hex board...DESTROYING each others Mechs...You have to watch out so you don't over heat your Mech..

We'll be doing a campaign. (ongoing storyline with maps & teams & such)

The Mechs are classified by Tonage...

For those of us in the know. I have played 40k since the Rogue Trader Sourcebook (4 editions ago.) I can field a full company of marines (including marine jetbikes)

Nah, I never got into wh40k... too much of an investment, and not enough support in my area. At least not enough people to play with that I can stand to be around. That I know of. Yeah, maybe I'm just broke. lol

Old Guard (across the street from Rock of Ages) has been one of my primary gaming suppliers since the early 90s.

Pandemonium in Garden City is also a good place to go get shit. I don't have their address off of the top of my head but they are on Middlebelt about a block south of Ford Rd.

I was thinking I wanted the #1 core book...

Mechs are about 10 bucks...

There are all sorts of support choices such as Infantry & Artillery...

*pondering a "Support Company" to go with a single MechWarrior*

THEN... I figure if we are all diggin' on it...we'll get the expander book/s later 1 by 1...if we all buy 1 book...WE will have access to them all. (we did that for a couple of game groups I was in)

Hey!!! They don't sell mechs in lead any more!!! WTF happened?!? Its all plastic prepainted mystery kits now. Eesh. Went out hunting mechs and painting stuff and the only store I could find that sells any lead worth speaking of tells me Battletech is all plastic clicky models now. Someone tell me he was wrong.

Just wanted to add a thanks somewhere for the invite to the DnD group (with possible future battletech game) this past weekend. I haven't done any tabletop in forever. It was great to get back into it again. Can't wait to do some more.
