Roommate may be needed

If everything goes through on this house, I was thinking of getting a roommate. The house is located off I-96 between Brighton and Howell. Its situated on a deadend street with lots of privacy and trees. 4 bedroom house has 3 beds upstairs, and 1 downstairs. I would be asking $400 a month plus half the utilities. Candidate would have had a stable job if you were moving from another state or the other side of the state. Otherwise, a current stable job is a definite must. This is ideal if you have always wanted to live closer to the Detroit area for the clubbing and social events, but continue to live in an area of solitude. This situation can be either male or female and a set of rules/guidelines would be followed on paper. I just have to make sure I have someone I can trust with my belongings in the house. Figured that I need to keep saving money toward things to have done with the house and property and if I end up going local for the job I want, I won't be banking as much money as I do now.

If you are interested and/or have more questions, just reply here or message me personally.

Wish I could help you out. Your situation sounds ideal. Unfortunately, I have to stay where I live for as long as they need me and can't just bail. Besides, I have a daughter and that wouldn't work for you (even though she is a cool tween gothling in training) LOL.

Congrats on the house Reaper. I know it's been a long search and many hurdles to jump, but you're getting there. And good luck with finding a good roommate that will work well with your personality and way of living.

Yeah, so far things have been great esp once I get caught up on the bills. Trust is a big issue when having a roomie though when you are gone all week and you worry about utility bills running high with someone at the house all week. Been waiting for a friend of mine who is also a driver to see if he is going to end up canceling the signup for an extended contract. This would alleviate the worry about costs being run up and I totally trust him. Its a real nice house and would also work well with having someone around to help me make a few improvements here and there. I guess I am still open to anyone who might think about a renting situation. The cable is the highest bill at this point at $120 a month. Power and natural gas would depend on how often someone is there. But right now I don't even see $20 a month for power.
