My aunt has her own florist business that she runs out of the home and back when we were kids she had a client named Sharon Dick. The hilarious part was that Dick wasn't her maiden name...weird coincidence that it got paired up with that first name, huh?

Kosuke Fukudome (pronounced "KOH-skay foo-koo-DOUGH-may", but you can imagine the mispronunciations by commentators ), Major League Baseball player with the Chicago Cubs.

I've heard SO many people slaughter this poor guy's name, trying to pronounce it on the radio and television!

My mom, in college, came across these names:

Mary Christmas Tree, and her twin brother, Douglass Fir Tree

Her brother briefly dated Crystal Chande (phonetically SHAN-duh) Leer of the Leer (as in jet) family.

Fellow that lives in my building, last name phonetically KOONtz, (Kuntz) is used to people slaughtering it.

And when I worked as a file clerk at a transformer (not the toys) factory, a parts supplier salesperson I knew was named Harry Siemen (hominym to semen).

I think though, liljrockbunny, Rex Hiscock takes the cake. That's just too funny.

The ol man came home with one the other day that came across his desk

La - ah (as in ladasha) but I guess mom couldn't spell good...?

She actually used a DASH! for the dash.

I didn't even know that was legal.

Hell when I named my kids the lady who does the cirts came up to my hospital room to make sure I had gotten it right...where was she on this day for oh clueless one?

(and mine were not even spelled wrong on purpose for the most part) :wink
