I'm seriously thinking of coming to Detroit for a weekend after the holidays. My question is this:

Where is a decent hotel? Maybe close to CC. I would really like to come out and meet all these great people that I've spoken to here.

well the areas around/near there that would be better are harper woods, st clair shores, eastpointe, roseville, ferndale, royal oak, grosse pointe (though i dont think they have any hotels at all)... they are all fairly close and have safe, clean hotels, resturants, malls, etc near by. let me know what you are looking for and i can help you. i myself live very close to cc but far enough away to where i am in a good neighborhood.

Ferndale/Royal Oak would probably be one of the better areas and be close® to CC. . . . . as long as you stay away from 8 Mile
