My woman made me go up there with her. But then we were meeting up there with a friend of ours who lives in the Leland(the 7th floor is full of people we know).

Music was lame as always.

The upside: seeing old faces(including the security;good to see the same guys are there) and running into Necromanta. The camaraderie there's always good so there's that. Always good to see Ty, Chris,Keith(blond glam-rock guy)Sean,Fuzzy,Arcsine, and Bishop. I remember when that place used to be my home away from home.

Anyone else notice the white guy with the afro? Reminded me of Handsome Dick Manitoba of The Dictators(one of my all-time favorite bands). And who was that girl dressed like a girl scout? Gotta admit that was pretty original.

Raven and I weren't going to go in the first place, but Rev and OMG were going with Constantin and tasteewonderbunny so we went after our weekly D&D shit.

Not a huge turn out of people at all, but at least I saw a few. I met Storm Knight, really cool guy with a whole lotta understanding . Saw Nightgaunt for a minute, ran into Tigerlily unexpectedly on the dance floor and chatted for a few, same with Shade. Then at the last minute Crank showed up. I saw Dark Racer because...yeah...he works there. The end.

I went and had a lot of fun dancing and running into people I hadn't seen in a while (DGN and non-DGN). I even stayed until after 3 am, something I haven't done in a while. I'm usually out of there before the last call.

Had a blast. I wasn't feeling the music this week, but I think mostly because I'm just getting over a horrible flu (that kept me from City Friday night) plus my shin splints were acting up, so I wasn't as into the dancing as usual. Not that that kept me off the floor, but I think anyone who saw me dancing would know I wasn't 100%. I just couldn't get into it. But it is a shame that as usual, ladytron=destroy everything you touch. Nothing else will be played no matter how requested. I guess that's the only one considered danceable? But really?

People-wise, it was an amazing evening. Came in with two good friends and new DGNers, virus_x and xillatoxic, after an astounding sushi and sake dinner and general hanging-out. Ran into many other DGNers, including (that I can recall just now) Fin, Tzsura, Shade Everdark, TygerLily, greyhalo, punkprincess and tanuki1985 (finally!), NightGaunt I think, StormKnight, SomeDanGuy, of course Enichi, and definitelya bunch more I'm forgetting. There was a good turnout this week! At some point Fin told me HeadlessGoth was there, but I never saw you - were you there? But then I didn't entirely trust him atm - he was a little not-making-sense. I think there were a few there I didn't meet - next time!

I wonder if I was the 'girl scout' - I didn't see any actual ones. Not that I think I looked anything in the least like a girl scout (lol) but I did get that comment one time, mixed in with all the Dorothys and Bo Peeps. Not that I ever mind - how could I really?

Anyway, it was a smashing time despite not being quite 100%. Listened to some good music mixed in, danced, chatted, met some more new people, both DGN and off, and had a good time. I feel like I'm forgetting about something I should say, but I can always post again later.

EDIT: DAMMIT! How could I miss Siouxsie and the Banshees Slowdive?? I musta just gone into the bathroom or something. What horrible timing! A miracle, they play something from Siouxsie that's not Cities or Peekaboo (not that I don't love those, but they are played often), and I miss it!! Unforgivable! Next time no potty breaks! XD

Yep, that's me. Damn, you're another one I keep missing somehow every week!! Next time you must say hi - I would, but I don't know who you are... -.-;; If someone introduces me, than it's all good. Next time I'll try to ask Fin or someone if you are around and make him introduce us. Then you can't hide!! But I'm usually pretty easy to pick out of the crowd ^^ so please do say hi!! Spent the last half an hour talking with Shade and Goth Brooks about red-haired ten year old boy cops, LOL.

Headlessgoth, were you there. I kept watching for ya out of the corner of my eye, but I never saw ya.

ok so had a fun time saw alot of you and not so much of thers i guess we were just in oppisite places at the club or people didnt recognize me in a blue suit.(i should have worn the hat ). but yeah had lots of fun and yeah now for the wierd part of my night. shortly after i got home i decided to go to the duncin donuts it is not far from me it is actually just across woodward but anyways so im walking there and this grey station wagon with some black dude kind of starts creeping up on me i try to think nothing of it and just go to the donut shop. well i start crossing woodward and i here him say somethhing but i couldnt make it out so i just keep walking and ignore him. so now i get in the store and i stare aimlessly at the menu for a minute like i always do. and sure enough here comes this older black dude in the store well im not ready to order yet so i let him go ahead of me. well he orders and while he waits he turns around looks at me and says ( I bet you got a big one) OK i dont know what to take on this my mind is pondering wether or not to punch this guy because that is just frickin creepy in so many ways. but i just try to ignore him and pretend he doesnt exist but he continues now he asks me ( so are you irish i bet your irish) ok what the fuck were did this guy come from. who does this shit i mean my god this is just wrong in so many ways i really had to restrain myself from beating this guys ass. you dont walk up to a random person and say i bet you got a big one if i said i bet you got a tight one to a women that i never met at 430 in the morning the cops would have been called. and the only reason i didnt beat the guy was because there were cops across woodward so i probly would have got in trouble but ahhhhhh wierd shit man wierd.

also after the guy finally left the store after giving up i noticed he was driving a grey station wagon go figure he followed me there.

First off... I seriously ('nother thread) thought that the music was better than the last couple of times we went...I dug on a bunch of the songs...I danced "more-than-usual-of-late" ... this is 1 very good sign that I/WE will be returning sooner than later...

I did not dance with Fin...& that's not fair... (I was too busy talkin' to some Old Schoolers about stuff & thin's)
