Just to let y'all know I didnt type this speech out myself. I just copied n paste it only for shits&giggles so this is not meant to be takin seriously.

So, are you telling me that watching "Boondocks" on adult swim makes me a racist? Have you ever even heard of the show before?

Excuse me? I have never seen DarkChylde post ANYTHING racist.

Perhaps you should watch the show sometime. It might open your eyes. It's all social commentary on the Black culture. Much of it slams the Black culture as the main thing that keeps individual Black men and women from rising above. It also slams on white people like you. People that refuse to discuss the failings of the modern in-city black culture and blame all of "the black man's" problems on white people. Don;t get me wrong... it addresses traditional racism too. It also addresses racism on whites and the blacks who hate their own people.

I fucking hate the show. I watch it every week though. It reminds me that we, as a people, need to work on the problem of racism every day... no matter how distasteful the work may be.

Having known Rambo off and on for almost 5yrs now, one thing I can say he isn't is racist.

If I were you, I'd either start quoting/linking posts of his that are racist, or post an apology.

It's because of the post that got deleted by mods that I found this particular one interesting.

The one hunhee deleted, then this thread. That is two posts that raised my eyebrow.

Why would I apologize for my opinion, when it's based on observation?

Furthermore, why would I care if you are waiting for an apology?

The one that was deleted, used the phrasing of "putting a monkey back in its cage" in reference to a black male whom was locked up.

Then shortly after, I see this post. Of all the funny moments from The Boondocks that could be shared...this wasn't really funny. Or interesting.

After the post that got deleted, I wasn't surprised to see this one. This post looks worse, because of the first.

Having a disparaging opinion on people who portray the worst of their stereotypes doesn't make one a racist, this is something that needs to be pointed out constantly, in my opinion.

You were basing an opinion on someone from two posts, one of which (here) is not in any way racist?

Yes, I base my thoughts on two posts, because the two mentioned deal with the subject matter at hand. One with a blatant racial slur. So would I be surprised if I were to find that he was a racist? Nope.

I don't know the guy, which is why I didn't say "You racist prick". Instead I chose to say "I wouldn't be surprised". Because well, I wouldn't. The end.

Umm.. I think this may clarify your feelings that he may be racist, he doesn't specifically say WHAT other stuff he's got in him, but he's simply not just all "white".

I know what you're thinking Raev, but seriously, I think you're jumping to the wrong conclusions.

When I sent you that message, I really didn't catch the comment until you commented on it, that's how blatantly racist it was to me, and I'm pretty good at picking stuff up...I had to wait for YOU to point it out. I don't know, maybe because I personally don't think on any racist level what so ever.. I used to have azn friends who would tell me stuff that happened to them.. "it's because i'm azn" .. I told her that i've never been pulled over "because i'm azn" it's usually cause I broke the law in one form or another... lol. But that was what her focus was on, and she told me.. well you're different because you have white parents.. :shock: how the hell would a cop know I had white parents when they pulled me over? :rolleyes:

Please keep the commentary polite. He did state that it was meant for humour, and nothing more. Raev, maybe put DarkChylde on ignore (if you need help with this, PM me), or before it gets to become an issue, PM him, he has always been reasonable in PMs.. if it gets bad, then PM me, and it will be handled... sometimes it's good to PM someone that you have a disagreement with, and ask them personally where they're coming from. I'm not saying this works 100% of the time, but there are other avenues if those methods aren't successful.

PS there is nothing wrong with judging on peoples actions if your a good person and your actions are good,you deserve respect.

If your an asshole POS then you deserve hatred,and unfortunately this country breeds human trash at record amounts.

Perspective, perception could have a bit to do with it. The original comment stood out to me, because of my work situation. I'm of a mixed bloodline as well, with aspects of my family more on one side or the other genetically. I work with a couple neo nazi skinheads (they call themselves neo nazi) so all day long, I am sharing words back and forth with them. Because of my proximity to all manners of racist comments and threats, perhaps I've developed a bit of a sensitivity to them.

As for jumping to the WRONG conclusion, I went to the one that made the most sense to me.

As for PMs, you are right Hunhee. I should have PMd him instead of make a public comment. I know better than that and handled it in an inappropriate manner.

Oh goodness, I'm very sorry that you have to deal with ignorant fucks like that.. it's a truly sad world when people embrace hate.. I think it should be requirement to watch American History X, I don't know if you've seen that movie, but it's a good example of hate gone wrong. If you don't earn perspective after watching that movie, then you really didn't watch it in the manner in which it was intended. (Or you can just drool over Edward Norton :whistle:)
