What is your fav concert theater

Recommended Posts

I love the State and the Fox.

But pine knob is where I saw most of my fave bands and there is this hill...

Palace is nice.

My first concert though when I saw Kansas on Shrooms...Pine knob...

It holds a special place in my heart...it is also the first place I crowd surfed (and only) at like age 40

My kiddies live by there now and I told them since their entertainment budget is about 40 bucks a month...you can't beat the hill seats.

Thing 2 can't wait to see Korn...I am sooo done with mosh pits personally I don't even want to be near one these days.

I saw Korn there twice!

Soundwise....give me I-rock....The I-rock has one of the best sound systems in all of detroit, and Ted is a master of the "fly-by effects" when it comes to live bands.

I would have to say atmosphere wise....Machine Shop....that Shop is a Calls A place....good bands, good stage, great sound...the whole she-bang

but...when I want a half ton of pl...or a band I KNOW I am gonna be in a pit for....harpos owns my soul...I know the bathrooms need work...and the place is half-trashed...but Harpos is home for this pit lord!!

Crofoot Ballroom right now. Best sound in the state and one of only three sound systems like it in the country. Gorgeous inside. Clean. Easy access to bar and parking. big stage. good balcony.

big problem though... they book some CRAPTASTIC music there

So Add me in for St Andy's

I haven't been to Masonic Auditorium since before the renovation (and I understand they changed the seating layout), but I fucking loooved that place.

I also love gigantic shows in stadiums; OSU in Columbus is a great place to see a band.

It's not being used anymore, but The 7th House in Pontiac was my fave small club/performance space.

Best overall venue I've ever attended a concert at: John Labatt Centre in downtown London, ONT. Full-size hockey rink/main floor so the biggest touring arena productions can be used with no problem, but it only seats 8,000 without rearstage seating (a little less than 9,000 with). I saw Sarah McLachlan there 3 years ago, and I've been dying to get back there for a show ever since.
