How Strict Are You About Your Makeup Applications?

Must you have makeup on when you leave the house? Is it simply out of the question for you to ever go natural? I had an aunt who slept with makeup every night of her marriage to my uncle (20 years). So, she wore makeup 24 hours of the day, basically. I wear makeup if I am going to a party, out to dinner, basically when I get dressed up. If I am going elsewhere, I usually just put sheer lip glossimer and a bit of loose powder on and curl my eyelashes without mascara. I definitely try not to wear any to bed but of course it has happened.

Up until very recently, I couldn't leave the house without makeup on. I will leave the house w/o makeup if I have to, but I'm not comfortable with it.

Some people are lucky and are still pretty without makeup on. I am not one of those lucky people.

I hardly ever wear makeup.. the only times I do, are to go out.. like as in a social setting... and even then, I can barely get more than eye liner on.. I have worn more makeup this past year than I have any other year in the past... weird. One of these days I'll learn how to put it on with art and style, until then, I will glop it on till someone teaches me ;)

I wear make-up to fit the occassion or what I am doing. At work, just enough to have a polished, clean look; more if going out on the town; none if I am running to the store or the mall; none if I am just hanging out at a friend's; none for family get-together's at home or the park, etc. Hell, there have even been a few times where I didn't wear any to work now that I think about it, if it was near a holiday and the place was basically deserted. I'm just too old and tired to worry about having some on or not I guess. LOL

No I do not have to have makeup on to leave the house.

However, If I have makeup on it must look FLAWLESS. I am really anal when it come to makeup, as some of you know because you have seen my makeup skills. :sorcerer:

I like to go all natural just my chapstick, but I also like to get all dolled up. But I don't lean on either side, I lie somewhere in the middle.

I hardly ever wear it. I like it best when OMG does it, but I have been known to put on some stuff in winter in a vain (pun intended) attempt to look professional. Mostly, I just try to keep clean. But I am very bad about taking my makeup off and if I wear it, sleep in it more often than not. That's why none of my pillowcases are nice. Or one of the reasons.

I don't go anywhere to need makeup, you won't find me wearing to work or school and I'm only at CC once a month if I'm lucky. I have tons of make-up for some reason though...

Same here. It's weird how us light make-up users seem to hoard it.

It's probably because we get so excited about going out that we stock up on it, then later realize that we don't even need it.

Just recently i've been going to the store down the street without makeup, and picking up my boy from work without even changing my pajamas, but i dont go into stores or whatever without makeup and fresh clothes.

I have very pale skin and red hair, so my lashes are pretty much blonde, and any blemish is very noticable so i have to wear to makeup, at least mascara and powder. And if i dont wear any i feel very uncomfortable about my looks, not to mention a scar underneth my chin that is really pink so i put cover up on that too

If I'm staying home all day I don't bother, but if I'm going anywhere I prefer to at least do eyeliner & lipstick. For work I usually add some eyeshadow; maybe a bit more or stronger colors for just running around town with my sweetie. I don't do the full foundation & creative eyes thing unless I'm going out somewhere.

I usually wear at least a little blemish concealer/powder to even out my skin tone unless, like today, I have to be at work so early that I don't care if my skin is a bit blotchy. I wear eyeliner about 50-60% of the time. Everything else really depends on my mood. I love eye shadow, but I think wearing it every day is a little garish unless you use very soft, neutral tones. Lipstick is pretty much only for club nights, any other time, I'll wear shiny lip gloss or nothing. I hardly ever wear mascara. I never wear foundation or blush. I can't stand the heavy feeling of make up all over my face.

I actually prefer hanging out with people that I don't have to be attractive for, or sitting at home.... because makeup is terrible for your skin. When I do indulge though I'm pretty god damned professional about it.

I notice I always either:

A. Wear no makeup, don't brush my hair, wear a disgusting t-shirt, and gross pants

or

B. Wear expensive, fancy clothing, with high heels, makeup done perfectly and hair absolutely gorgeous.

I either make no effort or I go all the way.

Well, lets just say when im home or going to other places such as the grocery store or the welfare office, I look absolutely nothing like what you see in my online pics. The only time ya do is when im at cc.

When I do apply the make up, believe it or not its not alot. Its actually just 3 different types. Eye-liner, eye-shadow and face powder. I do have black lipstick, however I been using the liner on my lips instead lately because its more easier to deal with and I can do more of a design.
