Well, after a month and a half of arrangements, I am ready to move the rest of my stuff from upstate new york. I leave today to load up. I need some help unloading once I get back in the downriver area.

My goal is to be back hopefully by Sunday at the latest, and unload Sunday-Monday. I will keep people posted. Any help at any time would be apprecated.

Just to let you know what is in store if you do help:

For the most part, I am in boxes, the largest being the garment box and the kitchen box. Funiture that have to be carried assembled are 2 chairs, 2 bookselves, 1 computer desk (small), and a pipe-frame entertainment center. The rest are in standard small boxes, and 4 bankers boxes. Unfortunately, there are a lot of small boxes, containing my library, my game books, my figurines, and the like.

My apartment is one flight on the second floor, and the only door to worry about is the door to my apartment proper.

I am going to be incommunicado for the next day or so, as I will be traveling. If you are interested, I can get you my contact details and address. Ping me through my account here and let me know if you can. I will use this thread to update people on events on the move and on the road as they happen. However, I will not be able to respond to this thread while I am traveling, but an occasional e-mail check will let me know if someone has sent me a message here.

UPDATE:

Just made it into Upstate NY (Cooperstown, Baseball Hall of Fame home.) I will be packing, and I will post another update before I leave here for the area.

Thanks to the help of a fellow colleague, and the drafting of an intern, I finished loading my stuff today. (also helps that everything was ready for a fast pack to begin with.) I should be on the road Friday, and back in the area Saturday (I hope.) I am not leaving earlier because of a 14 hour bus trip, 3 hours of sleep (not safe for the road,) and the promise of celebrating a friend's birthday while I am here (happy coincidence.)

I will probably take the weekend to unload, missing CC in the process. I can take help whenever you can be available. Just ping me for contact info. I should make a stop tomorrow or Saturday to send out my info to those who PM'd me. Thanks again for the reponse.

Finally home. Got in around 1130pm last night, pulled in some of my stuff, and crashed. For some reason, I didn't feel tired enough to pull into a hotel to sleep. Anyway, I am planning to unpack today (Saturday) AND tomorrow, so help on either day is more than appreciated. To all those who offered to help, either here or PM, I will send you my information. Just let me know when you are coming.
