e-jewell
Eh, rejection doesn't bother me much. When you don't focus your energies on trivial things such as relationships, you have time to fall in love with things that actually improve your life; like studying, and getting that degree, so you have the finest pick of the litter we like to call men! Unless you're into shy guys who need a shy, unambitious girl to ensure they're still the dominant one in the relationship. Or want to be the submissive one. Personally I'm a bossy bitch and need an equally controlling asshole to ever keep up with me. I never want to be in the situation where I have to count on a man to keep my life in order, nor one in which the relationship takes priority over my own goals prior to. You know you're in the right relationship when you have achieved things you've always wanted to achieve, and mantain the same interests and attitude you've always had. Too often couples sponge off eachother and change who they are. Hence my happiness in being single till I'm 30, financially independent, and heartless. e-jewell
You can be shy/reserved and still be very motivated at the same time. lol true... but completely irrelevent to the gist of my message. That message being- Relationships will more often than not keep you down, so when they end it's primarily a good thing. Keep your chins up. But, two mature people who already have those degrees and are admittedly independent can share many things together.

But, two mature people who already have those degrees and are admittedly independent can share many things together. I can almost agree with that. However I'd much rather have a cute little cabana boy to bang in between global world tours than a husband who I will inevitably grow to detest. Being tied to one other person in any way can really limit you. Natural human emotions like jealousy, lust, etc are Very likely to develop when the majority of your life is spent on improving your career. I suppose I didn't clarify my stance well enough... I'm more for moving forth in the working world than mantaining healthy relationships with other people. I'd stab a friend if it meant being promoted to a position of high money and power. Lack of morals comes with lack of faith lol.

People can plea the case that you can look all around you and see people breaking up or getting divorced. But that is usually because they didn't get to know each other long enough or even bother paying attention to the faults before they ended up in their situation. I have dealt with many female friends who kept coming to me for advice about a bf who wouldn't listen or did something to make them annoyed. Well, they ignored any of my advice (which normally was to get out) and ended up with him afterwards and regretted it. When thinking about it, I count about 5 of them over my time that did this. She knew he was bad for her and didn't do anything about it.

She knew he was bad for her and didn't do anything about it. I think another reason I can't bond with people is because I'm theoretically a virgin. I've done everything But have sex with a guy.... one guy, to be exact. The fact I've even only gone below the waist with one guy my entire life, who repeatedly hurt me, is obviously playing a role. So I don't really see any other guys as worthy. Him and I were constantly on and off for about 3 tumultous years, and people were always saying how perfect we were for eachother. Perhaps a little too perfect, though. Not to mention he was bipolar, and I'm vaguely so myself, so it was a constant battle. Anyways, point being. I still remain somewhat attached to him, despite the fact that for a month now I've decided never to talk to him again, though we were friends awhile. So even though I'm screwing around on occasion with my ex, I feel nothing for him, and never have. I've yet to meet someone who can make me feel as that asshole did and always has. n0Mad
*Invites Spook over for single bald guy's movie night* Well, I have all day today free because the girl I was supposed to hang out with canceled on me. But I think I'll just sit around at home instead, eat the Reese's I bought for her, watch videos, and be depressed.

candyman
Well, the key is not to go looking for it. Let it come to you. That doesn't always work...I seem to attract the odd ones, if thats the right word to use Examples: "Hey I just got out of jail" OR *vomit hits my shoe* "Heyohshitsorrybouththati...." *she passes out in said vomit which has whole pills still scattered in it*...now I take her to the aid station where they leave us alone in a tent for some reason and she wakes up and proceeds to molest me OR Bus ride to visit a college on a bus full of people that I don't know...and one girl decides that she needs to blow someone right then and there....I was asleep for a little bit.... OR GWAR concert...I am covered in GWAR and sweat...and after getting bounced to one side of the pit I realized that someone grabbed on to me instead of letting go In these cases I would rather have had rejection....and when I don't want to be rejected I get rejected...how does that work?
