How Are You Feeling?

You know that feeling like a door knob in a Turkish cellphone store that has recently been hit by lighting and shifted in time by a random 7 seconds so that everything smells slightly like multidimensional vanilla and burnt eyelids? Yeah probably not like that.

Feeling totally ecstatic that I we made it home (and even did a bit of an Ingress run) without having a full blown Charley Horse attack.

Feeling mind blown. The organizers of today's 5K Timber Trot Detroit have me worried. I got there to register my niece for the run and they were not even set up yet. I asked if she could stay to assist while I made a quick run and that I would be back. The people setting up, at first, tried to ignore me and kept watching me as they continued moving tables and chairs around. So I stepped closer and one girl like to have broke wide for the other end of the tables. I asked my question again. This time one guy stopped, looked at me, set up a chair and started on a table. So since he was still watching me, I asked again if it would be ok to let my niece stay and help until the race since registration was 7 to 9 am and it was already after 7. Finally the guy says, "If you are looking for the 10K out of Ann Arbor, I can't help you..." When he started laughing I realized he was reading my UofM Hoodie. At least I got some sort of a response. The rest of the crew looked like they were afraid I was about to attack them (or as if I were speaking some strange "city" language).

I stated my question again and finally, the guy said, "Well, we're still setting up...." I asked if I should come back around 8 because registration was from 7-9. Dude looked at the others who offered nothing then said 8 should be fine. As we were getting back in the truck, I heard him throw a joke about "riding your bike" to make it back to the event since it took so long to drive (It took us a half hour to get there because all the roads were closed for the run).

After we drove off I told Cj it was a good thing I was dressed regular or they probably would have thought I was going to jack them or something.

I'm sorry you guys had that happen. That sounds like a whole lot of unnecessary bullshit. Hugs

Not gonna lie, been feeling pretty bad a** the past couple of days.

Sunday, at 11:58am, I got my riding mower out and cut all six backlots, then trimmed them all up from 1:54pm until 7:58pm. Came in and cleaned up from dinner, where everyone had visited the HomeHouse for Mother's Day, brought up the last of the laundry, got the kids on their assignments and off to bed, got home at 11:27pm, ate dinner and crashed for a few hours.

Monday, at 5:45am, got breakfast on the table, pulled bus stop duty until 7:08am, then did security rounds until 7:40am and started dinner. At 9:51am, I got the lawn mower prepped and running, cut 5 out of 6 front lots (my neighbor's tree stump bent my blade...fortunately, I had saved that yard for last). At 11:08am, I used the blower to clear all the sidewalks. At 12:20pm, fell down the back stairs, got up, relocated my gear, drank a cold Ohana Lemon Iced Tea, prepped my equipment, trimmed and cleared the alley lot until 3:42pm. By 3:55pm I had all yard work completed and tools put away. Went home, got cleaned up.  At 6:24pm, got over to the HomeHouse, started the last part of meal preparation and had dinner on the table by 7:15pm. At 7:39pm, began processing packages, had the dinner table cleared by 7:59pm, had all mail sorted and bills setup by 9:51pm, left product feedback, set up for orders, got home and had the daily Japanese Lesson sent by 11:59pm.

 :cool

    • Feeling happy to report that my neighbor and her cat are now back together.  I build her fur baby an indoor Cat Run and now the cat and her 3 kittens have been moved in.  I told my neighbor to make sure the little ones stay with their mother for at least 3 days in their new environment before she starts letting people handle and take the babies away.    I wish she would keep at least one of the 3 kittens, but apparently they are all already spoken for.

    • Well it happened, understandably but it still sucks.  I hated them both so I was going to be unhappy either way, but I do admit I hate Trump slightly more because of the narcissism, egomania, xenophobia, and misogyny.  On top of that that insufferable base of his who think that they are free to act the same way now that he's won.  The apologetics from them were horrible too where they handwaved away legitimate criticisms, and mocking those who brought them with "orange man bad!"   The one good thing to come out of this is punk music is going to absolutely rock for the next few years.  However I really just have one question... https://www.loudersound.com/features/andrew-eldritch-sisters-of-mercy-will-make-another-album-if-trump-is-elected IT'S HAPPENED TWICE NOW ANDY, WHERE'S OUR FUCKIN' ALBUM‽ Well, I guess at least I'll get to keep my guns.
