How Are You Feeling?

Feeling so happy to be sitting down.  I literally pulled an all nighter with this cleanup...and still didn't get finished because I had to clean up mess left behind by the previous cleaning service.  Apparently they don't use water, just bleach and eraser sponges.  I guess they believe if you can't see the dirt, it doesn't exists.

Feeling relieved to have made it back home in one piece.  People were driving crazy out there just because it started snowing.  I got honked at 5 times just because I let traffic clear before pulling onto a main road, I accidentally hesitated a fraction of a second to long at a light that had just turned green, I took my time turning a corner so my tires wouldn't slide.  The weather changes and people become impatient.

I've been so disgruntled with these "In your face" attitudes...and they know it, that I also actually have the feeling of canceling Christmas this year.  It's like, "Thank you for being a brat and making daily life so tedious...here's a gift".  And since the understanding of receiving cole in your stocking is even lost on this generation, they would still see it as getting something.

At this point, it feels like it will take a miracle (or the people who see no wrong in any child's behavior) to make me WANT to gift give this year.

😞

Chris smashed the car last night. Rear-ended some dude. The fam will have to miss the rest of the Falcons for a while.. Moe and Stu will still be around. Only dad and Satori in the car. Waiting to hear from insurance as to what's next. No injuries.

Thank goodness everyone is ok.

I'm feeling very on the fence about continuing to eat at The Gathering.  There is always something wrong with the food, but usually we can overlook it.  But last Thursday there was an issue with mildew in the slice of cake I requested for Trene's birthday and a piece of metal from a wire scrubber was cooked into my pancakes.  Sometimes I just show up at the restaurant and talk until it's about time to get ready to go home.  I may eat a little, but I'm slowly becoming paranoid about what I'm about to chump down on...especially after the massive egg shell incident with what I thought would be an easy preparation - 4 scrambled eggs.  I was mistaken.

So I will continue to come to The Gathering to socialize, but eating there is too much of a mind game.

I hate the food there.  I think I said that before. Sounds like it's getting worse.  Hugs. When I was a server before I had a family point out that they found a piece of the metal from the fryer basket in their kids food.  I was pissed for them,  luckily they took it off the bill. I personally wouldn't have charged them for nothing.  That kid could have choked to death.

Wow...feeling like I should have known to gut punch myself weeks ago.

🤣

Apparently, the accidental gut check I gave myself at the restaurant a couple of hours ago actually reversed the umbilical hernia I've been suffering from since the end of October this year.

Not that I tried to, but I dropped 8 lbs in about 10 days while doing a full house deep cleaning for a move-in.  I dropped weight so fast that it caused an umbilical hernia to develop.  So about 2 weeks ago, I began a workout regimen to strengthen the abdominal wall around the area because sometimes these things can fix themselves without the need for surgery.

Little did I know that a well placed fist could accomplish the same thing.

I feel like I'm just on the verge of understanding why I am having a mental block about buckling down and getting my house reorganized to the way it used to be.  Everything had a place and every area had a function.  Now it looks like the beginning of a hoarder's paradise.

Hoarder's paradise...maybe I should parody a song out of that to the tune of Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise

Feeling like I'm paying for not following my better judgment.  I should have waited before working at the old house and scheduled it for when I had the actual time instead of jumping in and trying to help out because I was there.

Feels like my body is reprimanding me now for not listening to it. 😐
