I'm voting McCain/Palin. I would rather have someone with experience than someone who just makes good speeches.

AHAHAHAHA,

really?

experience?

That says nothing,

Its not about experience.....

common now,

Nixon had experience....And look what happened.

McCain is just going to carry out bush's term with his own.

open your eyes.

i'm still voting nader, as i think he's the only non-republicrat who could garner 5% of the popular vote, and i'll be voting non-republicrat for the rest of my life, at least until we have more than two parties involved in the national debates. ultimately, i want to see a third party (or independant) in the white house, but that likely won't happen in my lifetime...

good choice :)

Good question. Beyond Watergate... what did he do that was bad?

Nixon had experience....And look what happened.

Nixon was actually a very successful president. When he ran for office, he set a bunch of goals of what he wanted to accomplish and guess what? He actually accomplished all of it. Nixon opened up diplomatic relations with China and negotiated a ceasefire with Vietnam thus effectively ending the war. He was elected twice to Vice President and twice to President so he was doing something right. Yes, so there was that Watergate scandal but why let one incident tarnish an otherwise good career? And when these events came to light, Nixon did the honorable thing and resigned. He didn't keep on fighting bullheadedly like Kwame or continually try to deny the whole thing leading to perjury charges like W. Clinton. Now there's a man with a lot of scandals that make Watergate look like a game of patty cake and his wife is just as bad (if not worse).

The election is more about experience than it is a popularity contest. Then again, I always was one to vote for the geek to be president of the student council and not the dumb jock prom king.

FACTS:

Obama: can remember the amount of houses he has

McCain: can't remember how many houses his wife owns.

Obama: has a normal amount of cars

McCain: has 13 cars, but doesn't consider himself a collecter

Obama: a man of African American descent

McCain: owns enough crap to be considered a "baller"

Obama: Knows that Elgin, ILL is the most dangerous part of the Metro-Chicago Area for ppl wearing sneakers

McCain: former POW.

Obama: snorted coke as a youngster

McCain: Steals songs from his mid-life crisis

Except the Watergate thing is big enough that it DOES put a tarnish on the rest of his career. I won't deny that Nixon did accomplish some good stuff in his day, and in the final tally, ends up looking more tragic than malevolent (though you won't convince me that Kissinger is NOT a servant of the proverbial devil), but Watergate is still there, and it still reflects on his entire career.

The McCain campaign's pulling out of Michigan. They'll probably still spend $$$ on ads, but they're going to concentrate their ad campaigns in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Yeah I heard that too....

I guess its hard for a rich dude who can't remember how many houses his family owns, and is proposing tax cuts to the richest 3% of the country to appeal to a state that is mainly populated by people are lucky to have a studio arpartment let alone too many houses to count, and who are mainly below the poverty line....

My dad sent me this fun little quiz from ABC News. You read two statements about various issues and click on which one you agree with most. I thought I was about 60/40 in favor of McCain because I do think Obama has some good views. According to this quiz though, I agreed with McCain on everything except for one issue. Hmmm ...

I am leaning toward Obama (I knew that would happen)..but I did not know I would agree so much with McCain...( :secret: I think this poll was slanted towards 2 partys...)

I could not find the quiz.....

You click on my above link. Under the stupid animation is an arrow that says, "Star Here". You click on that and it will show you two quotes. You click on the one you most agree with and it is kinda highlighted. An arrow appears saying, "Next". You do that until the end and it will list your results on the left with check marks.
