i just wish we could have ron paul. althou he was a bit extreme. he knew what patriotism is, and i could trust he wanted to see amarica's pride come back to life. he WANTED to see more people care about politices and he wanted the amarican people to choose how the goverment was going to go.

+10

My thoughts EXACTLY.

Some of you may know that my original major was Law Enforcement. I spent a year training to be a cop before I changed my mind and switched into theatre of all things. I was part of the Oakland County Sheriff Department's Explorer program for a couple years and still have several friends, relatives, and acquaintances who work in law enforcement. The following post comes from a secure law enforcement only discussion forum and was forwarded to me by a LEO (law enforcement officer) with permission to share it with as many people as I can. It happened right here in Michigan but you probably never heard about it on the news, because it wasn't.

PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

Please pass this along to everyone that you have on your e-mail list because this is just the beginning if this arrogant, egotistical, super liberal, president wannabe gets into office....

To all,

I have read all of the e-mails from not only some of the MTOA board members, but from other Law Enforcement & Military personnel about Barack Obama's rudeness and what seems to be disgust for basically anyone in uniform. Well, it's my turn to add to the list of e-mailers and here it is:

So, members of the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department, MSP, and other local agencies inside Calhoun County are working with Secret Service in the security of Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama's bus arrives in Battle Creek and pulls into the stadium area. Before Mr. Obama exits the bus, he has the Secret Service get off and tell all Law Enforcement personnel in uniform that they now have to stand behind the bus so Mr. Obama is not seen with anyone in a Law Enforcement uniform before he gets off or while in the public view. So, everyone from MSP, Sheriff's Dept., and other agencies looks at each other for a brief second, goes and stands behind the bus out of sight so Mr. Obama does not have to see, or been seen with, what to him is 'undesirables' since he refuses to been seen or even acknowledge Military or Law Enforcement.

At a time of war and terrorism in our world, this presidental candidate (who is being protected by various branches of the Military & Law Enforcement at the taxpayers expense) refuses to acknowledge, be seen with, nor have in his photographed background.......any type of Military or Law Enforcement in uniform.

But, NONE of this is in the media or headlines in the news.

Why? I wonder what the story or media frenzy would be if it were Muslims, blacks, whites, jews, or any other race, gender, religion, and/or occupation, that Mr. Obama refuses to be seen with or have around him.

Why would Law Enforcement branches make any of this up? Law Enforcement has traditionally had more funding under Democrats.

Just food for thought leading up to November 4th.

I have no idea why that put me on edge, but it feels right, and I don't like it one bit.

I find it a little suspicious that something from a supposedly secure LE forum was leaked out and it happens to say something no one else has said before. Maybe it's true, in which case I'd like to know why, or maybe it's yet another internet falsehood. I personally don't hold LE in any higher position of trust then any other person. They have yet to demonstrate the right to that honor for me.

That's why I got out of the field. The amount of abuse and corruption that runs unchecked is staggering. Most LEOs I wouldn't trust farther than I can throw them. But many of them are good guys doing the best they can in one of the toughest jobs there is with no reward or appreciation. The ones I keep in touch with I trust an honor more than anybody else. When all you do is see them from the outside, they're easy to hate. When you've worked with them though ... there are some good guys.

I am probably voting for Nader (no, its never a waste to vote your conscience...lol) and yes on both proposals. I really hope against all hope that whoever gets elected will make some positive changes, but I am rather cynical at this point.

Which proposals?

I heard a slam commercial about how #2 was a bad thing...but I took the commercial "wrong"...I will vote yes on that one!

(I am such an ignorant caveman...but I am trying to learn politics anyways..)
