I'm Dave, i'm actually no-where near the US atm let alone Detroit... i'm actually in the UK, but i'm moving to somewhere near Lake Orion next summer (i dunno exactly where yet...) to study mechanics at oakland county commmunity college.

So basically i'm trying to find some interesting people before i come over just to make the adjustment period that little bit less painful... lol

Where from? Originally Essex (not far from london)

Gender? Male (last time i checked...)

Work? Not at the moment, was made redundant and now i'm frantically hunting

School? Not for a long time... although i am going back to college (as i mentioned) when i move over there...

Hobbies? Juggling, reading and spending way too much time on the xbox, theres shed loads more but that much typing is a little daunting.

And as it happens, i have walked past the Captain a number of times, he has a flat in Cardiff bay and like to walk his very small dog along the bay front sometime, usually at suspect times (i'm geussing to avoid being mobbed, but who knows what he's up to...)

Theres a lot of DJ's over here... i dont know what its like at your end, but our alternative scene seems to breed wannabe dj's and musicians, you just have to reach out with a decent slap and you'll catch one...

problem is, none of them are any good, and it only seems that the ones who have the most influential friends get the decent spots, irrespective of talent, and seeing as i'm seen as less of a goth more of a raver/metaller by the over pretentious cockmunchers that make up the british goth scene, i could never get any decent work.

besides, i cant drink and mix, it ends badly... lol

Well...no disrespect meant to any that may be here (and this is exactly what GRG was talking about), but, there really aren't very many good DJs around here. ........ maybe 3 or 4.... at most....

But yeah, that's why I asked why you thought it was a bad habit. Besides, most, not all, but most, clubs around here don't let their DJs drink while working.
