Prom dress for Misskitty

Recommended Posts

get an awesome dress and then get some caution tape (which isn't actually sticky), and get some duct tape of what ever color you want (the color doesn't matter, as you will be covering it in the duct tape and caution tape and just go crazy with designs! I'll be at Chris's next weekend, so if someone wants to bring the dress over, I can tack down the tape, and bring the dress by the day of the party, since I will be going to your party. I have NO idea what the hell I am wearing to it though. lol

I may just make my own. I don't have time to make her one and make me one.

:)

LINK?<---can be helpful... but is instructions for making tailor's doll {same ideal}

Y'all have the WRONG ideal... you must put on a long t-shirt... then... start making a dress out of tape...

...then... you cut it off... to put it on... you can reinforce where laces would go, use an INDUSTRIAL strength hole punch... & tie that bad ass dress on!

It takes allot longer to use a pattern... as you must first put 2 pieces, sticky together...a bunch of times... then weave them, & secure them... it is fucking a pain... I saw it done this way about 14-15 years ago... it wore out in 3 wearings... The other one I saw lasted quite longer... & was easy to repair.

Oh I have material and such. lol :) but keep in mind that you are going to have to stitch it a little, because duct tape doesn't stick to cloth very well. :)

and I have no idea what the hell I am going to do for my dress. lol :)

It worked just fine.
