Hey all, I have not been on much but thought you all might find this interesting...that aryan nation of rams horn, the one in fraser, well they hired a person of spanish decent...I was happy...anyway the magician? Get this, he had a sezuire at the wheel...ran his car off road into a ditch filled with water, couldn't open the door basically drowned in Lake Orion area someplace he worked at gm like 30 yrs he was like everyones grandpa and is dead now how very morbid eh? He only did magick there on Monday nights cause he loved kids and making them smile.mecry.gif

So you can't go see magic while you eat cesear salad anymore they are not going to replace him its too sad.

On a more positive note...If your ever in PORT HURON go to the RAVEN on main, that would be I94 buisness loop to downtown and its on the right if coming from the D.

OMG

The food, the atmosphere...it is to die for. Seriously. Then take a walk along the blue water bridge walkway...nice.

I also visited the Fenton Motel...didn't see any ghosts...got some shots of orbs...stole a brick from around back heehee...the food. Excellent. The drinks are strong. It was nice. The building is real old, the lights kept flickering.

help me out, DGN! Kroger's has pot pies on sale for 49 cents each this week, but I'd rather have one worth spending some $$ on. Is there a place in the D area that has pot pies on the menu?

Try Leo's Coney Island. They have a pretty good pot pie, made with phyllo dough.

Linda's at 9 Mile and Van Dyke has been a staple for drunk goths over the last couple decades. Unlike fascist restaurants such as Denny's or Ram's Horn, there is no such thing as a non-smoking section, you can drink as much coffee as you want without ordering anything else, and there is only one waitress at a time and YET...the best service around. It's baffling to me how this works, I do not question however, I merely accept it.

One other thing: PANCAKES. Fuck yes. If you are a connoisseur of pancakes as much as I am, I have two words for you: Cinnamon butter. I know this doesn't sound like a big deal, and personally when my friend Rachel told me about them all those years ago I thought the same. I was promptly corrected...it IS a big deal. Apparantly, as Linda has told us (and yes she's both alive and still the owner of the joint after all these years) it's a perfect blend of butter, cinnamon, and honey. One ingredient that I have a feeling she failed to inform us of is: God. God lives in the butter-spread at Linda's and clearly, Jesus is in the pancakes. Just a mere bite of said goodness is enough to cause you to involuntarily, and embarassingly, sexually climax in your booth.

They've got some good-ass bread pudding also.

 I laugh at this statement because I'm from Fraser and I know exactly what you're talking about. To this day I don't know how I survived K-12 in their system without being burned at the stake for being a "devil worshipping witch" (who happened to go to church every Sunday at Lakeshore Presbyterian ).

My Fav place was a place called Sala Thai.

<img src="http://www.salathai.us/SalaThai2/images/header1_sala_thai_logo.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

It was located in the Oakland Mall off 14mile & John R it was across from Olga's kitchen in the mall.

Best Thai food in Detroit my opinion..

Now relocated.....

2751 E. 14 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights, Michigan 48310

“Viceroy Plaza” between Dequindre and Ryan Road.

<a href="http://www.salathai.us/SalaThai2/about.html" target="_blank">http://www.salathai.us/SalaThai2/about.html</a>

Give it a try...

D

Holy crap! I totally agree with this statement, I didn't know they moved, and was really sad that they were no longer in the Oakland Mall, considering I moved near it recently. I will have to go to Sterling Heights now for my thai food. YUM!!!!

A couple of my favorite restaurants are Toast in Ferndale & Birmingham, SUPURB breakfasts!!! and The Fly Trap. LOVE that place.

Really? I want to see how it measures up to Izzy's (13 mile & Little Mack, across from the Meijer). Their sandwiches are not only incredibly good, they are gargantuan!
