saechalyn
I couldn't tan even if I wanted to. It just doesn't happen. I burn red, fade to pink, and go right back to alabaster, with no variant of tan or bronze or brown in there. Suits me just fine. I usually manage to avoid burns by staying in the shade and using SPF 45.
slingerlandstyx
I don't have to go into the sun for my freckles to leap out of hiding. The warm weather started and BOOM there they are . . . it's like my freckles sense the heat and say ok I give up and bare their lil brown faces. Wish I knew how to keep them in hiding . . . sunblock doesn't work not even to keep me from turning pink. One of my middle school teachers said that freckles are where the sun has kissed me.... well the sun is a fucking pervert cause I think it's been making out with me!!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why hide them? Freckles are awesome! And so cute too... Especially on redheads. Hmmm... maybe I should move to Ireland... :laughing
kellygrrrrrl
There is no sense in laying out. Not anymore...skin cancer has been going around like the plague in my family. PLUS, I burn and freckle anyways......AND I am really scared of pre-mature aging....... SSSSSSSSSSSSSS Ssssssss ARRRRrrrrGGGgggg THE SUN!! :doh Although I Will admit, I'll go to the booth once or twice in the winter to keep my skin clear. It helps me with acne and it also helps w/ eczema...which I don't have....
FarrIL
When the weather turns hot and humid, I become a hermit. Sure, I do go outside...... when it's cloudy or when it's night out. I get BURNED because I'm a Celtic mutt. I have Native American in me but you just cant tell. I have Irish flesh and when the sun chars it, that's the only time my Irish skin irks me. I go outside to go swimming, I char. I use sunscreen and still char. ;_;
holliwood66
I get tan from gardening and playing outside in the summer. I wear a hat and things but the sun finds a way through somehow. I am of mixed extraction: Armenian, Irish, Cherokee and German. I tan easily but don't go out of my way to get color. I like how it makes my teeth and eyes look super bright and sparkly, but not enough to pay to go to a tanning booth. Dermatologists say that the booths are just as bad as laying out all day - UV radiation is UV radiation no matter how fancy the package. I know that people from the north look, on average, 7-10 years younger than people from the south due to less sun damage. *ugh!*

DarkVampire
It gets hot and humid, a draw back of being near a large body of water. But it beats living in the south where it's worse.

LOL ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was supposed to go to Flagstaff, for the wedding, but the couple broke up, so I'm not going...but I might go out that way, hit Vegas or something hehe...I need a vacation! I used to dye my hair fire-red and I have green eyes, so people thought I was Irish. Well, I'd get a really dark tan and my freckles would pop out and it would freak people out because the Irish aren't supposed to tan I guess lol. Msterbeau
Yeah, I'm not sure how I will handle the heat, I complain if it gets close to 80 degrees...but I hear it's windy there and I like the wind. PantherKitty1979
I am pale all year round. I mean, I'm in the dark most of the time so when I walk out into the sun it hurts and I don't really like the sun or the outsides.....unless it's the middle of the night that is. Hehe. Head Wreck
i just spent 3 days in kent, sleeping more or less in a clearing on a chair next to the firepit. then spending all day either cooking outdoors, hittin people with swords or hammers, or drilling recruits with shield wall tactics. i'm suprised i'm not a crispy burnt thing right now. infact i didnt even get any more tanned, but wearing gunmetal, black and brass armour i shure felt like i would

Marblez
I have burned a bit so far, but I am sooo enjoying my new summer tan. I have spent more time in the sun this year than in many years past and absolutely love it. There was a time when I would have definite tan lines in February. It IS bad for the skin, yes. I have a solid native american base with a naturally dark complexion and damnit, I can handle it!!
