Oooh and the dress from Legend

I'd put that right up there with those.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'm actually figuring out the logistics of that dress from Legend for a friend for Halloween... If I actually can do it I'll be VERY proud of myself. Am doing a grown up (mega corset) style Violet dress from Series of Unfortunate Events for myself..

Brenda I did not read all the replies but if you have not gotten the first one already i highly suggest it, I Bought a corset (see pic below) for $369 at Noir and it is one of those things i think every woman should do for herself once in a life time, just buy something over priced that is just freakin hot and too perfect for words.

HEll if i had the $399 i would so buy it

Its one of those things "to die for"

it does not look that great on the hanger but trust me it is hot and feels really nice on, nothing pokes me or bends, i have had it for two years now and it has not lost any threads or gotten any pulls or snaggs and cleans up real nice.

I've decided that I'm getting a leather one from altar ego erotics. But, I think I'd also like to learn to make one. Nienna, if you see this message, could you tell me if you think that making a corset is difficult for someone who doesn't sew very often?

Much love!

Alter Ego is where all my leather ones come from. They hold up like a dream and fit wonderfully. They also are priced quite reasonably and are good quality. But some advice about them: Don't get any of the ones with "cups". I've had trouble with underwires poking out. The waist cinchers or overbust corsets with busks are nice. They also ship fast. I usually can buy them on Monday and have them in time for CC on Saturday.

Making corsets is hard. It sucks. Seriously. I've made a few with plastic boning so far, am looking at steel for my next one. As soon as the bones come in the mail I'm getting going on it. I want to make 3 to start: One that is just a club overbust corset, a waist cincher to go over a dressI'm also making, and a "hardcore" one out of coutil, with a sprung steel bone every 2 inches... *L* Once I do all that, so a month or so, I'll be comfortable enough to sew them for others.

Assuming I do figure it out and don't just completely dispair, I'd be happy to make you one. I'll keep you posted.
