Please T-T Anyone going to Necto tonight?

So, anyone that lives around the Romulus/Metro area going to City Club this Friday and/or Saturday willing to pick me up would be appreciated! I don't have a car, and until I can get one, I won't be able to get my actual license yet. I know, right, stupid as fuck huh?

Anyways, the following can be given in thanks: I'll buy you a drink or two along with admission!

& if you go to Necto on Mondays, the same applies.

Thanks!

EDIT: I really need a ride to Necto, so if you could help that'd be great. Read following post by Jinx some way down there. That also gets put in the deal for tonight! All info, except for going to City Club, follows exactly as well.

Please, I don't have my license OR a car... :(

But I REALLY want to go dancing!

I'm in Japan for a few months so I can't help at the moment, but when I come back I can probably help you with Necto. Your a little too far out of the way for City Club.

OMG! I'm very VERY envious of you as of this moment right now.

Japan...? JAPAN?!

*cries*

Alright, sounds cool. I'm sure I'll find something for City Club, but I really like Necto. It was my birth of industrial clubbing... actually, of ANY clubbing.

If you had signed up here a few weeks earlier you could have stowed away in my luggage...

With any luck I'll make it to a goth/industrial club night or two before I come home. My problem is I'm not in Tokyo, where most of the action is. Otherwise this is a strange and fun place.

City Club is cool but I really love Necto's Factory Mondays.... How long have you been going there?

No, I don't hide away. I'll just swim there! Hahaha... from Cali ^.^

Maybe if I join the Army or something I'll end up there one day o.o

Um, well, for a while now... it's just, I don't go on many counts in a row.

A couple years back was when I first went, but I only go now when my friend is in Michigan.

Because I'm a lam0rz and don't have many friends... and I don't have a car >>

Anyways, I think I was there like a few weeks ago. The Monday before Labor Day weekend.

OK... well bring a waterproof map so you find Nagoya properly. I might have room for you in my closet... I mean apartment.

Don't join the Army just to get to Japan... Baaaaaaad idea. Look around for jobs at the Japanese companies in town, maybe? I know our place is hiring fairly regularly, depending what you skills and experience are.

Oooooh, what do you do?

My track list is as follows:

Not a professional, but web designer.

I'm an electrician, but still learning (collecting unemployment for a month or two while there's not enough work and got laid off).

I can dress up real pretty and just LOOK pretty.

I have some good balance and sharp reflexes.

HAHA! Does any of that apply? xDDDDDDDD

& Your apartment eh? >D

EDIT: I've also done some fast food gigs, and what not. &&& I'm HORRIBLY crucial at organization and cleaning.

I'm a designer. (Industrial Design with specialty in transportation - otherwise known as automotive styling.) Also a semi-pro phtographer.

Your electrician skills are the most likely to get you a job at my employer. I'll keep an eye on the job listings. I've tried to get a few DGNers hired. So far, no joy, but I'll keep trying....

How advanced/experienced are you in the web design stuff? I'm in the process of putting together a portfolio site/blog. Never hurts to have an experienced person to bounce ideas off of...

My apartment - aka - The Closet..

I've been doing it since I was in middle school.

Go check out my website: geocities.com/eternlwakening

It's just been refurbished, and updated a bit, but it's only a start.

I'd like to get more design updates on it, and more content.

Now that I have the time, I'll be able to!

As long as I'm not being lazy the whole time I'm not working :b

Yeah, I'm planning on taking online classes for web design. Seems it's only the best starting point for school in my case.

Then I want to go into robot programming, but I have to look into it more.

Art school is where I want to go once I'm living completely on my own, and have accomplished the two above.

I can't see all of your site due to filtering of images, etc from here at work. I'll check it when I get home tonight.

My advice to anyone going into an art/design field: Go to the best possible school for what you are learning. It will pay dividends in the future that are well worth the likely extra cost up front..

Yeah, and once I do Robot Programming, I'll be able to afford that.

I thought at first that I'd just want to go to an all out art uni, but... naw.

That's kind of boring, and very generic examples of teaching are gone over again and again.

I think I'll go into cgi, which would be fun, since I'm such a dork and love anime/manga/video games ^.^

If you're going into an art field, GO TO AN ART SCHOOL. You will get better, faster in that environment then you will at a regular college that has art programs. Why? More competition/better competition. You sink or swim. You will know if you stack up against the best. Also, employers will look at that on your resume and the school will do a much better job helping you get a job out of school. College for Creative Studies (Where I went) has a VERY good CGi/animation program. Check it out: http://www.collegeforcreativestudies.edu/

Robot programming... I want to see that!!

if you can find a ride on Monday to Necto I will put both you and your ride on the guest list and give you both free passes if that helps you find a way out.

JInx

Thanks, that'd be really awesome :3

Now I just have to find a ride >>

xD

I have the weekend to do so, right? Should come up with something.

    • I am currently floored.   FedEx did a massive 6 box delivery to the wrong address.  I had an autoship order scheduled to arrive before this past weekend.  Nothing showed up.  I contacted the order site and they had a link for the order...a photo of all my boxes thrown in the snow and up the sidewalk of a residence that was not mine.   You would think that at some point, the driver would have looked at the delivery address after they kept throwing box upon box at this location with no shelter from the elements.  They didn't even knock on the door to inform the residents that massive 65+ pound boxes were left all over their walkway.  Nope.  Just dumped them, took a photo as they were walking away and left.   I wonder what the person who found all of those misdelivered boxes must have been thinking when they saw them.  Maybe they kept everything to use, distribute or sell.  No idea.  No claim was filed on that end as of yet.   Fortunately for me, one of the sites that I ordered from, replaced everything at no extra cost.   Unfortunately, now I'm concerned for the other items yet to be delivered.   Needless to say, I'll be watching my notifications like a hawk.
