When these places say 18+ do they mean it?

Call me retarded but i just got to this state and i am completely lost. Most of the places i went to in wisonsin and minnesota said "18+" for concerts and clubs but that didn't mean a whole lot. I couldn't sit anywhere, go on the main floor for concert or dancing, order food without being 21. So, since i will be driving from Big Rapids and don't want to waste a trip, what can i do at any of these clubs being a lowly 20 year old boy? These dorms filled with college idiots are pissing me off and i want to get out and do something even if it means driving three hours.

At City Club where I work at, 18 and up means just that, no booze but you can hang all the way till 430 in the morning, when we boot ya'll out. Plus you'll be able to meet all of us.

You should also Check out the Necto in Ann Arbor on Monday's. Michigan's largest Industrial night. They have an amazing Clean club with sound and lights that are no where close to being matched by any other bar in our scene. Always just 3 bucks and only a 1 dollar before 10 to get in and you'll always find free passes at the front door. Since you are driving so far I can put you and everyone you drive down with on the guest list for the night. I assure you once you see what we have to offer you'll understand why Monday has become the night for new music and meeting new people in our area.
