jynxxxedangel
CHRIST ON A FUCKING BIKE!!!! The bitch is lucky she didn't burn her goddamn house down, looking at all those cigarette butts laying around!!!!!!!! Hell, the landlord probably WANTS to burn it down and build a new house, now. The thing I thought quite out of place (as compared to the rest of that inexcusable mess) was the ironing board, with what looked to be clean clothing sitting on it. I don't know why she bothered washing OR ironing anything-- when it's just gonna end up smelling like mounds of stale cigarette butts, and cat piss n' shit. My place might need a good dusting and vacuuming every so often, but MAN, I could never even imagine living in that sort of filth. What a rat's nest! Michi
Holy mother of the chocolate jesus crucified cross stick! o.o No way dude, I'd be buggin' the FUCK out going anywhere NEAR that nast nest of a house. How do you accumulate that much TRASH in one living space? Who raised this person is more important to ask... a living dump mass? My rooms looking a little unorganized... but it's almost ALWAYS clean down to the way my things are angled and laying on top of my dresser. I have my ocd moments... >> But damn... seriously? Who the FUCK would live like that? Who COULD? Totally disgusted. Pardon me for all the obscenities.
ashlei
I clean up my apartment compulsively. This place is always clean! I don't bother others with my cleaning habits if it isn't any of my business. I mean, I'm not going to bug other people if their place is a mess, but I hate hate hate when people make a mess of my place. But yeah, if I had a friend who's place looked like that, I'd be too grossed out to visit. I even refuse to use some of my friend's bathrooms because they're so nasty. jynxxxedangel
Maybe the lady who didn't pay her rent has turned into a pizza. That would explain her disappearance. She must look like Jabba the Hut, judging by her diet.

Aralis
I am thinking this person might of been a drug addict possibly....or a really large obese person or someone with a serious mental problem who is afraid to throw anything away. Hmmm.

Riku Namako
"Pizza the Hut" spaceballs reference ftw from the looks of things, its true, those pizza boxes didn't collect themselves.... I don't like or try to be judgemental about peoples living situations...but for cryin out loud, why does this look like it belonged to some morbidly obese pot head who gave up on life and had jerry springer airlift their carcuss to the nearest clinic for lipo? all those posts that mention that sorta thing, are probably 100% correct in their assumptions. +tax. SpidersMoment
It doesnt surprise me that she has cats. Every slob has at least one cat. I'm just surprise it was just 2. I want to know how she slept. Did she sleep on the couches or on top of all that shit? Open the balconey doors, hook up a shoot and just shovel everything out. That shit makes me feel better about my house. I thought IT was a sty *sighs in releif*
sass_in_the_pants
I don't think this apartment owner was a slob. I think she was simply not well. People who are well don't live like this. Do you think the apartment owner LIKED this living situation? The easy answer is 'Sure she did. If she didn't she'd change it!' That's like telling someone with clinical depression to cheer up. Sometimes, it's just not that easy. Hoarding is an illness, it is a mental illness, and it can be devastating. It's generally seen with other severe OCD symptoms. I see this from time to time when I am volunteering and visiting the elderly. They hate the way they live. And they just can't stop. It contributes to major health problems, too - things like that attract bugs, mold, rats. It's very, very sad and a difficult compulsion to find effective treatment for. GothicRavenGoddess (3)
click to read the commets.. its quite entertaining... lol in all seriousness.... never in my ever loving mind. i am lazy, yes, but when i start tripping over shit (that's not mine, mind you) i make a trash pile, and sweep it towards the door. I REAFUSE to live in anything remotly like that. granted my room is very cluttered, because i have no storage, but nothing like that... there is not filth...maybe some dust, but that's a health risk... i feel sorry for those that have to live next to that, and the smell seeping through the walls... wonder how long it took them to clean that????? Destroit
I know people who live like this...I've been in their house. One friend we know isn't mental or depressed at all...he's just a lazy disgusting loser. Hardly even smokes pot at all. His house is deplorable....almost as bad as this house. I haven't been in there since he kicked some of our friends out for no reason, he's pretty much on everyone's shit list now.

jynxxxedangel
I compulsively horde things (anything recyclable or reusable), and I have gone through bouts of depression where I was a bit lackadaisical about my housekeeping (a sink full of rinsed dishes, a small pile of laundry, slagged off vacuuming for a week or so), but I have NEVER, NEVER let garbage, old food, or cat shit gather in my house!! As for the cleanliness of my W/C's (including the kitties' litterbox room), I NEVER let my toilets, sinks, or bathtubs get grody-- those are things that cannot be compromised for ones home to remain sanitary. I am actually a compulsive cleaner (it runs in my family), so sometimes I have to MAKE myself keep from falling into that pattern by letting things get a slight bit dirtier than I like. I know it sounds strange, but it works for me to curb that compulsive urge. I've had manic episodes where I've cleaned for three days straight, without stopping. That feeling of lack of self-control frightens me, so I push my compulsion down deep into my subconscious by sheer will. All of my clutter is hidden. I have an entire room full of boxes, clothing, miscellaneous stuff I have no other space for; but no garbage or filth in there (my cats aren't even allowed in that room)! My closets and drawers are also a bit less than organized. No dirt, garbage, or bio-hazardous waste in there, either. My living space is always kept clutter-free and spacious. I cannot see how someone can let their home become this bad. At this point, it's not even a HOME anymore. Home is supposed to be a place of comfort-- a place one is glad to return to, not a monument to ones deepest dread. I cannot believe no one was close enough to this woman to recognize the symptoms of her illness. This entire mess could have been avoided if someone had just GAVE A SHIT-- whether it had been the woman herself, a family member, co-worker, or friend. I don't think that an obsessive compulsive would let their house get like THIS. They would have it terribly and deathly CLEAN, not the way this person is, and eve if they hoard things away it's always organized. I have bipolar, and apart of manic episodes I experience obsessive compulsive symptoms. Like JynxedAngel said, you obsessively clean, and don't stop... because you don't feel everything is fit yet, but it could be the best cleaning job anyone and their granny had done. I had problems with this, especially when I was younger. If I was stressed out, I'd clean. Even if I was depressed, I'd focus on cleaning. If I was anxious, angry, lonely, troubled, I WOULD CLEAN. Now it doesn't get too bad, but there will be a random day where I'll go all out in cleaning my room/bathroom. No, I don't believe ocd would have an affect like this on a person and their state of home. I think some laziness, some depression, and some physical ailment is what did this. Unless they were a catatonic schizophrenic, then I wouldn't understand who would let them live by themselves though.
