"Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan," Muthee said as two attendants placed their hands on Palin's shoulders. "Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. ... Use her to turn this nation the other way around."

Very interesting...'blessing'...sounds like a Hexcraft spell...

Palin was baptized Roman Catholic as a newborn.

Palin was baptized at the church but stopped attending regularly in 2002.

Palin attends different churches and does not consider herself Pentecostal.

She seems to be trying to get as much "Christian Backing" as possible.

I keep rethinking this... it doesn't add up right... a Catholic, goes through everything to become a Pentecostal...THEN...doesn't even stay there...I think she has "stick-to-it-ivness" issues...

...OR she is the Mother of ALL panderers...

PANDER :2: someone who caters to or exploits the weaknesses of others

DEMAGOGUE :1: a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power

In the end times...False Profits will walk the Earth...& they will speak in toungs as proof of their power...blagh blagh blagh

I remember some such thing being in the Old & New Testament...

Perhaps she has great faith in God but little faith in organized religion. Perhaps she is still searching for a religion that best fits her faith?

Perhaps she is trying to build up a resume, so she can tell ALL christians that "she knows how they hold their faith"....cuz it CAN be comprehended that way...

A thoroughly plausable third option...

..but she COULD be pandering.

I just think that it looks suspicious.

You don't think that that seems a bit suspicious?

OR will you not even LOOK at it?

(I know you are partial to that camp)

I don't know her "heart" to draw a conclusion...

What I do know is that environment mixing with politics does not seem to bode well with me.... Church vs. Witchcraft? The VP?..... kind of too close for comfort to each other... KWIM?

Are we to question what every person that holds public office does in their chosen place of worship? Does a blessing bestowed by a member of the clergy somehow bring doubt on that persons credibility? What of the many Catholics that serve in Congress yet receive Communion on Sundays?

and really to be fair... if we are to hold this blessing against Palin, does that bring 20 years of blessings by Rev. Wright on Obama back to the table?

WOAH...WAIT A MINUTE.....Um..how old is Palin's youngest?

(the one with Down's)

That would be 5 months. And it is actually quit normal for an African preacher to bless someone against witchcraft, since people in in those countries have a huge fear of it. People still get stoned to death for being accused of being a witch. So I'm sure preacher man was just doing a normal blessing that he would do in Kenya.

It does when it involves discrimination against other religions. Imagine how pagan/wiccan followers feel about that remark, it gives the impression that witchcraft is a bad thing, which is just an ignorant assumption. I know she didn't say it, but she didn't correct it either.

Not really the blessing no issues there... but praying for money, and protection from witchcraft? or is there something that I am missing...? (there maybe I admit)

It could be pandering. I never said it wasn't. I merely present another option, that to me, is more plausible.

I am of nearly the same age as Sarah Palin. I know the times she grew up in. I come from the same small town, hunting and fishing American as her. On this level I can relate to her. My Faith in God is strong, but I have never found a religion that best fit my beliefs. I have attended many Sunday/Saturday services over my years. I have sat in a circle while old ladys chanted, waved candles, incense and crystals around my body. I have accepted every prayer and or blessing bestowed upon my by men and women of Faith.

That said, I can not fault others for being in the same predicament of Faith as I am.

I think the part you are missing is that Christian/Muslim/Jewish belief is that witchcraft is real and Evil. Many modern religious organizations gloss over that part of the Bible/Quran... others embrace it.

As much as I like you... I would not try to elect you to run the country either.... nor myself....

I was on the student government at my community college, I learned my lesson then. My main point was though, who, at one point in their lives, hasn't prayed for money to come their way, such as winning the lotto?

lol...thats right...phee is gonna vote for me...or he'll never get out of the trunk...lol

Seriosuly....EVERY politicians religious views are brought into question when it comes to the running of this country...and if you don't think so....find me a politician who has either ran for presidental office, or been president, who has NOT made his/her faith part of their banner in the race to the white house....hasn't happened...

We, the American people, bring their religious views into the open because their faith will dictate many descision they will make in office, just as it has been a guiding factor in their former/ current positions. If someone is going to come across as overly prejudice against a certian belief, especially one that becomes more and more prevalent in this country, then the people that follow those beliefs have a right to be concerned.

While he may not agree with such faiths...I have not seen a statement from Obama, nor an act, that is near to the zealotism that Palin is exhibiting, or has exhibited in the past...and if you bring up the fact that he is/was a Muslim, and on that fact a zealot, I'll find someone who will be more then happy to quote the entirety of the base muslim faith to you.
