Breast milk is good-- it tastes like what's left at the bottom of a bowl of frosted flakes.

BUT, I don't think this is a very sanitary idea. I would not drink someone's milk I didn't know!!! EEEEW, CREEPY! Blah!!!!!

Toss this one into the "Lead Balloon" category!!!

Ew! I nursed three of my kids. Ew! Flashbacks of accidently tasting breastmilk still haunt me to this day when I taste something bitter and salty. It was soooo disgusting.

I would think they would homogenize & pasteurize it...

:ralph:

I think I puked a little in my mouth..

You know, we're the only animal who drink milk after adulthood? What does that tell you?

Not to be gross, although this is kind of a gross topic, most adults are minorly lactose intolerant, that's why you get bound up by cheese, or the other thing happens..

Their brainstorming department needs to get out a bit more often. It's hard enough to get most women to breastfeed to begin with (though, thankfully it is changing.) But to hook up enough women to supply the demand for milk products currently slaps right in the face of misogynism. To say nothing about some diseases we carry can survive the pasturization process.

Sorry for being in the humans first group, but good grief. Talk about nutbars.

Boy, I am glad I wasn't eating or drinking when I read that. lol I would have sent tea up into the sinuses.

Well not bad for the sucker, but for the one being sucked. I have sisters that consistently complain that their children took to long to breast feed, and the nipple gets sore.

Ah, yes.

*ahem*

There are some spore forming bacteria and fungi on the skin that can survive pasteurization. All are taken care of in medical sterilization (steam/irradiation.) Personally I don't like cooked milk. There is also the stuff that passes through the body into the milk chemically. Personally, I would not like to have antidepressants running through my veins from my strawberry ice cream.

+1

We're more likely to contract something harmful from other human's breastmilk because they're human and pass along human diseases, some of which, like you said can survive pasteurization. Not an overwhelming amount of bacteria, but just enough to cause concern. And you can't autoclave milk  so yeah...not quite sanitary, imo. Pasteurization can only take care of so much, and if you take fresh milk from the grocery store, put a few drops on the correct agar, you'll notice a good amount of bacterial colonies growing in a few days, but since they're not human bacteria to begin with, we're not likely to have any harm come from them.

That and the thought of drinking milk from another woman's titty totally grosses me out...:ralph. I still look at my Boshy funny to this day *double :ralph*.
