Hellion
I can never seem to understand why some poeple want to be dirtasses and not keep themselves clean. I personally cannot be around anyone who literally smells like 200 year old limburger cheese!! I can understand if you worked all day and cannot get to a shower right away: but if you skip it all the time it can be very disgusting to other poeple around you. When I was working at a shop over in Walled lake Mi we had a guy in the other building who used to always come over at lunch and hangout. Well one dayI was talking to my boss and the one guy nextdoor walked over and sat down near us. I was about to eat my food when I noticed a really funky smell coming from where he was sitting and I whispered to my boss and asked him what that smell was. He at first did'nt know what it was but slowly started to figure it out. The next day when the same guy came over at lunchtime we both noticed it again. We then we finally figured out what it was and were completly disgusted. The following day we started to look for a different area to eat and where he would'nt find us. I told my boss that this dude smelled like a rotten peice of shit from hell!! I thought that chunky milk smelled better than this dirt ass. So I told the owner of the company that this guy should stay out of our building and hang around the dumpster and keep away from us!! The next day we had a meeting on personal cleaning and the owner made a new rule that if you can't keep yourself clean then you will get sent home. another rule was also put into place was that no one from the other building was allowed to walk into ours unless it was about business and that was it. All I can say is if you cannot keep yourself clean then you might as get used to being by yourself: because no one wants to be smelling dirty feet and armpit crud all day!! Scary Guy
Some people like immigrants from arab nations where water is in short supply only bathe once a week. Someone needs to inform them that it exists in large quantaties here. Some larger people have a totally unique smell all their own. They need to learn to wash under their rolls. I personally cannot be around anyone who literally smells like 200 year old limburger cheese!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You say they smell "literally" like said substance, so I must ask you -- have you actually smelled said substance? Also, as things age, their scent actually gets dimmer. As an extreme example, mummies are displayed in glass cases to protect them from people's hands and breathing -- not to protect humans from the any odor. I had this half-empty gallon of milk in the fridge for almost two years (well, after my boyfriend at the time and I discovered it was in there for four months, we left it there as an "experiment", intentionally, that is) and, in all honesty, it really didn't smell as bad as I was expecting when I whipped it off the roof of the building and into the street. Old milk smells, true. The smell can get rather pungent after a while, but after a LONG while, the smell starts to die. While I understand the imagery you were trying to convey, it was improper. "unique" pheromone blend all their own. Contrary to popular American belief, Europeans, especially the French and Eastern Europeans, do, in fact bathe and do so quite regularly. They just haven't adoped a culture of covering up the natural human scents with lab-created scents like "baby powder"-scented anti-perspirant and "citrus breeze"-scented aftershave. Unfortunately, Americans seem rather afraid to be human and, as a result, there is a HUGE market here for perfumed soaps, heavily scented bath-salts and even *shudders* "Strawberry Breeze" scented feminine douche (which, to use, is practcally ASKING for a yeast infection). I'm a human being -- not a field of wildflowers. I'll stick with my daily baths with regular ol' unscented Ivory and a follow-up with unscented anti-perspirant. Black Sunday9
personally I'venever been a big fan of the humans, so I prefer not to smell whatever their natural odor is. I am glad I don'tl live in Europe for that reason alone....that and the stupid berets that the French wear.

If you weren't, why bother with their inventions? It's entirely possible to just say "screw it all" and become a "crazy survivalist" living in the forests of South America or somewhere and avoid humans -- even if you don't have a lot of money. I find it extremely contradictiry for a person to claim s/he doesn't like hi/r own species and then gladly take advantage of all hi/r species brought into existence. Yeah but if there is one thing I hate more than the humans it is South America. I don't like bugs either. Or dirt. Plus I need a farmer jack nearby in case I want some tostadas or cream of wheat. Word to the mother. Brenda Starrr
Meanwhile, back on the subject..... I get physically ill if someone really stinks. I actually passed out once when I was in high school. My typing teacher put the smelly kid right next to me. I tried really hard not to pass out, but I did. When I came to, My teacher and the nurse asked what happened. I explained that Kurt had some serious sanitary issues and that someone needed to talk to him and his parents. They also needed to move him. They didn't move him, and I dropped the class. My doctor wrote me a note explaining why. I now suck at typing. Lilith
I ran in to a guy I went to high school with at a club once, Back in school he was not smelly at all actually in high school he would have been more on the metro sexual side, any how when I ran into him at the club he was really stinky and I knew it was not because he worked hard all day, I could smell the clean scent of laundry mixed in with his funk as i danced with him. if you have time to put on clean cloths then you should have time to hop in the shower and do a quick 3 minute wash on all the important parts, it was awful. I recently ran into the same guy at speed way where he was working and I could smell that same funk from the club over the counter. I don’t know what happen to him but what ever it is he should see some one about it. lilith
lullaby1031
B.O. and Body scent are two different things.. The nasty sweaty filth is B.O. where as someone who just has a natural scent (who does shower on a regular basis)- say they always tend to remind you of soapish scent or a woods-ish type smell. I shower daily and I hate when I can smell that someone hasn't worn deoderant or showered in days.. :gag: Then they end up smelling like a clusterfuck of nasty smoke, hair oil, and really bad B.O. HEY sounds like the C.C.!j.k.

DarkChylde
I believe people with bad B.O. should get immediate death sentences *sigh* that would also help create more more in this world :laughing
honeymustard02
I think honestly, people just don't think about it. Maybe they weren't raised to be into being clean. So to speak. I personally can't stand it, but I deal with it. I work with a girl that has SUPER bad BO. So I tend to stay up wind from her. But I'm not going to be rude and make comments about it. Some people may honestly have a medical problem that isn't stopped with some perfume and stuff.
Homicidalheathen
I wish more people had the guts to say something to people like this. There is a drumming I won't go to because there is a guy that stinks up the place.
Rozzlyn
B.O. and Body scent are two different things.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, actually "BO" is short for "Body Odor" and "odor" is basicly defined as being synonymous with "scent." http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=odor So, basicly it's the same concept. Rozzlyn
Some people may honestly have a medical problem that isn't stopped with some perfume and stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Some people *do* have a medical reason for smelling funky. Some of them can control it through diet and I think others have medication available to help control it. Of course, there *is* a difference between smelling naturally funky and smelling unwashed.
