Used Car

Recommended Posts

Plenty of interesting little cars over here. I don't think you want to pay the freight costs though...

*cough*

My Mazda would have been a few thousand dollars cheaper had I purchased it in Hawaii (cheaper destination charges from Japan), but freight to get it here (and that's just California, not Michigan) would have cost more than what I saved.

As for used cars ... what are you looking for? Price range/year range/certain style (sedan, coupe, SUV)?

I have a 93 explorer available for $400 firm. very slow on shifting, will get you about 6 months on transmission unless you drive alot. DOES work on freeway just fine, slow to get up to freeway speed tho. its got a cracked winsheild, dented hood and needs vacuum hoses badly. they are super inexpensive and you need to find someoen that can connect them to the right spots. its like a puzzle lol. because of the missing hoses its very loud and wont stay idling. takes a few pumps of the gas peddle while turning the key and then shift into geere once its going well. weve had this checked with a mechanic. thats all it is, is the vacuum hoses. but he was a friend (certified mechanic) and lives over an hour away and a deer hunter- thus why we havent had him fix it.

to be honest, I just disclosed EVERYTHINg. most people would hype it up. I want to be totally honest. its in pretty good shape inside. dirty, as in dust and foot trafic, seats are clean, back is clean, donut under the truck, its got new not-cheap tires and we've owned it for 2 years and its NEVER EVER broken down on us. the back is very very large. since its an older explorer the length of the backw ehn the seats are down is 7ft. my husband likes to sleep back there when Im shopping lol. before we owned it, our inlaws bought it new. I THINK its got 135k or just over on it. our inlaws work on cars, my brother0-in-law is the manager of a parts store and so they kept it in impeccable shape.

Up to you. depends on how badly you need a car! its not in the best shape, but it WORKS. we bought it for $1200 2 years ago, it was worth $1300 about 6 months ago and with its issues I can still probably get $600 for it. I need to make a FAST SALE. we are using the money to put down on a new minivan this week. Im also posting in this section outright, so if you want it, PM me ASAP. THANKS!
