Even if the calendar doesn't work out, Brenda will have a fun collection of pics from DGNers. You never know where they might end up online... :fear

Lol, yeah, that's probably been her plan this whole time.

Hmm, I have an idea for a picture, but I don't really have an appropriate backdrop. Where's a dungeon, or a set of black velvet curtains and torches when you need one?

So yeah, if I could find a way to take some pictures of me I would love to be in this calendar as well as buy one!!!! I think its a great idea and I can't wait to see it!!!!!

Oh, by the way, I hope no one minds that I would like to be in the calendar despite how new I am... I will try to get a pic on here asap as well...

Just email pics to me! The mods are each going to vote on who goes in. Like I said above, it may be a 2 year calendar at this rate!

I must have missed this part. I'm sorry, I do not want to vote and if it does come down to this, please exclude me from voting. I really don't like the way this sounds.

I would rather everyone to be included that submits a pic! Surely there aren't that many that they all won't fit!

Several should fit on a page.

I'd rather see smaller pics than see anyone excluded.

I had been thinking about this....

I agree with you. I was advised that voting might want to be considered. I really want everyone who submits a pic to be in it, somehow & some way. I think everyone who sends a pic should be in it! That way, everyone is involved. No one will feel slighted that way. I don't want anyone to feel as though they weren't good enough or didn't make the cut.

A designers thoughts:

For consistancy's sake (At least in terms of photographic quality, style etc.) It might make sense to set up some shoots with everyone.... or at least those who don't have (good)photographs of themselves. Might actually be a fun part of the process... I'd certainly be willing to do some of that...maybe Tomcat has time too. Obviously submissions from those out of the area will require some other arrangements.

Image file size and other technical considerations are important if you want a decent product...

Who's going to edit the photos, design the look of the calender, etc?

Where and how are you planning on getting it printed?

Aww, hon...

While it would be awesome to have a "Twelve Months of Daevion" calendar, you will have to wait this time around. Maybe in 2007?

Yes, I have:

Daevion

SomeDanGuy

and.....

Aralis

Great pics! I love them! We do have plenty of time, though. I'm just really excited.

Whoa, Yoda!

Don't be gettin' all technical and shit yet!!!

I'm looking for whatever people want to give, as it's probably going to end up being a collage of pics. I am out of the area, as I live in Baltimore, MD. I'd like to see everyone in whatever clothes, atmosphere, or setting of their choosing. Some people may not feel comfortable being photographed. Some might love it, as I do. It's all in the beginning of the planning stages at this point. I will most definitely take it where it can be professionally done. I still have to contact a few people on that.

I can do the design/putting together part...

The shoots could happen wherever people were comfortable.. Especially if it's clothed. The shoots don't have to take long at all. An hour or so for each... maybe less if we can get a few at once.

I'm just trying to bring up the fact that a bunch of random submissions will more then likely leave you with a less then desirable product... This is not intended to criticize anyone's looks, photography skills or whatever... But it's like too many chefs in the kitchen. There needs to be a consistancy of quaility and presention for this to be worth doing. If you were going to do a quicky one and print copies out on your inkjet, I'd say go for it...but it sounds like you intend on making a serious effort, and that deserves the best we can come up with.
