Brenda Starrr
Tomorrow is not going to be fun. Any advice? I don't want to do this.
TomCat
I view it as a privelege, not a hindrance. I say enjoy the experience, most people don't get "big" cases anyway.

Brenda Starrr
It's not being a sissy. It's being off from work where I make far more than what I'll get for being there.
JaneDead
no, i have 3 kids and no sitter. and i don't have money for a sitter either. and if i did have a sitter and money for sitter i assure you i would rather be off doing something more relaxing than jury duty

honeymustard02
Take a book and something to drink and maybe a snack or something. you'll probably be there for a while. But chances are you won't get picked. I went once and didn't get picked. If I had been brought up they would have canned me anyway, I have too many cops in my family

Brenda Starrr
I have to say that it worked out really well. I went, I was called to a case. When the judge asked the jury panel questions (to weed us out), we were asked if we knew the lawyers in any way, shape, or form. Just so happens that I knew one of them because I used to wrok in a bar, and I was a beer-tub girl. He shamelessly flirted with me. He's soooooooooo OLD! I kept trying to ignore him. They also asked if any of us were ever in an accident and filed a lawsuit. Well, I was hit by a speeding attorney in a candy apple red 4-door Jag. I sustained serious injuries, and it took over 3 years for the glass that was embedded in my skin to work its way out. I had stitches, back injuries, short-term memory loss, and nightmares. I also told them that I'm still pretty angry and that every time I see a car just like the one that got me, it doesn't matter if it's below freezing-I sweat. No shock that they let me go.
