They're remaking Highlander! *trying to fight sobs*

I just found out a couple days ago that they've greenlit a remake of one of my most fave movies ever, Highlander. UGH! Yet another example of messing with something that doesn't need to be messed with. The first one is THE BEST ONE! I mean sure you could replace Christopher Lambert, but who else is gonna do Ramirez? Who would dare replace and try to one-up Sean Connery?. In many respects Sean Connery IS that movie. Let's not forget Clancy Brown. His Kurgan in my humble opinion is one of the most memorable bad guys. Sure he's not Darth Vader but he's a lot of fun to watch. Especially during the car scene. So while i know in the grand scheme of things there's better things to worry about this bit of news got to me. While it has it's plot holes(like saying you're immortal while actually being able to die when your heads cut off) it's still one of my fave franchises of all time. If you're gonna re-do a Highlander flick re-do The Source.
