Ah, here we are

The Ballad of BrendaStarr

:bow Long live My Queen!!

Back in ye days of DGN,

when the gathering corner of the City Club tavern was situated near the barmaids and spirits of the evening,

when Troy was an e'er constant presence in our faire city

and people were begining anew with merely the second round of screen names after being banished for the first time from the kingdom

Lo, There was Brenda

QUEEN OF DGN

She was a wonder to all those round her,

which was no one...

since she lived in a land, far, far, away,

in a place of beautiful trees

and LSD lairs

Home to pigskin-coveting little colts, until they were scared away by large black gothic birds.

A place known as Maryland.

And as queen she wielded her scepter,

banning, and warning, and watching, and scrutinizing us all.

And we loved her evermore.

Even as she spoke of some unknown Lord named Wayne, we all pined for her.

And she rewarded us back.

With flirtations and tokens of gratitude.

Every man dreamed of his time in her inner sanctum, and she did nothing to discourage it,

...nor provoke serious intentions of granting her courters' wishes

For unlike many DGNers of late, who wish to defile this glorious place ,

she was a lady.

Teaseth us she would.

Until one day...she vanished

And upon her return, she re-emerged as not Queen, but Queen Mum.

With a new, nobler, stronger knight at her side,

Lord TomCat :horse:

With TC at her side, she would serve as guidance to a new breed of DGN-folk

Her official powers now relinquished, she passed the baton to her kinfolk.

As for her prospective suitors,

(of those who had not moved on to proper ladies of high repute--with names like bean water)

they chose not to crush as they once had,

in respect to thee allegiance laid plain to her knight and circle of orientation.

This new chivalry allowed her to offer guidance to those aspiring to the throne,

as well as allow the once-restrained queen to lay bare

scorn and pity

---to the new unbridled ribaldry of Drunky Brewster and the rest of the chattering classes.

And so, although we revere her to this day,

it is now one less fueled by the stirrings of our loins but no less that of our hearts.

This is the Ballad of BrendaStarr, DGN Queen

Thank you.

See? I always KNEW that I was royalty! Eternal, you rock, and Bean is a lucky lady!

I only wish I was so cool. Brenda, I drool on you.

Where are we drooling??

I care for what not a great deal, and the occasional what have you

This also depends on if I'm relatively okay or moderately neato.

*Shows up with two towels and his camera* :animier:

Dirty Man.
