GothicRavenGoddess (3)
OMFG...now I'm wet... : (My mouth, not my hoo-ha, pervs!) you said "hoo-ha" but yes, I agree... I miss pork! !!!! favorite meat: yes please. Lambs.....& Rabbit..... The cute fuzzy ones always taste best..... & goat meat sandwiches..... that made my day. Never tried rabbit or lamb, but I wanna!!!! (both smell SO good when being cooked. Bout the only meat I can tollerate the smell of, when its being cooked.. that and BACON!) ----- Oh my g-d! we had some "bacon" made out of beef... it was REALLY good... almost couldn't tell the difference. Almost.... a little on the salty side, but good... But since we can't have pork in the house, cuz if the pet pigs, this is a good substitute. Better than turkey "bacon", that's for damn sure... which doesn't like my tummy... so I'm not eating that, ever again. taysteewonderbunny
kid, stewed in spices--I like the meat off the back and shoulders near the spinal cord (especially if served with saffron-infused rice). pomba gira
& goat meat sandwiches..... Goat, yum... I likes goat chops. Can't find decent goat up here, always try to stop by Gratiot Market & get some when I'm in the 313. -----Oh my g-d! we had some "bacon" made out of beef... it was REALLY good... almost couldn't tell the difference. I am curious, is your household pork ban in deference to pig-loving sensibilities, or can the piggies actually tell when pork is being prepared and react badly? When I read Charlotte's Web as a child... at several points in the book there are lists of the household garbage that goes into Wilbur's trough. I remember being appalled to see bacon on one of the lists. Eeyew, creepy forced porcine cannibalism!
GothicRavenGoddess (3)
I am curious, is your household pork ban in deference to pig-loving sensibilities, or can the piggies actually tell when pork is being prepared and react badly? my roomate can't bring herself to eat it ("pigs are friend, not food"), though the kinds of pig that is eaten, are farm hogs. Pets are usually potbellied pigs. Those aren't used for meat, in the US. I can eat it, cuz I can tell the difference. I wouldn't cut up Muta, Puckle, or Vinnie, because they are pets, and I know them for pets. We don't have pork in the house, because if the pigs get into the garbage, and they eat the pork, they can become very sick. not good, not good at all... and before anyone says "lock up the garbage" pigs are VERY smart, and its easier said than done...
