Halloween @ City Club Aftermath

It's been way too long! We made it there after Hallowicked (which was a blast) and had a marvelous time! The two virgins we brought along also enjoyed themselves immensely. I must say that having people act like I was some kind of celebrity was good for my ego... "Oh my god! It's Pomba Gira!". It was wonderful to see Eternal & Bean, Crank & Rambo (who kept calling me "Puma Girl", which I think I may actually like better), DBK, Dollar Dave, Spook (as usual I was too intimidated to actually speak to you, maybe next time I'll work up the courage!)Punk Princess... People I met "in the flesh" for the first time included Rev. Reverence who is every bit as handsome and fun to talk with as I imagined, Gothic Raven Goddess, Tits McGee, Nightgaunt, Jessika Fxckin Rocks, and several others whose names I don't recall... which is dreadfully rude of me, but that's what those extravagantly-poured double whiskey & cokes will do for you.

On the down side... City Club was fun as always but it's RIDICULOUS for the Leland to have ONE functioning elevator... and NONE this morning. I shot some nice grafitti art on my way down the stairs from the 15th floor, but dayyyum! Looks like much badness waiting to happen- what if someone has a fucking heart attack & the EMTs have to hike up 20 flights of stairs? For that matter, what if a guest or resident has a heart attack walking to their room? Not to mention the little part about accessibility being a legal requirement. Shame on you, Leland owners! I must say, though, what should have been a boringly quick & simple hotel check-in became a lengthy and entertaining process due to the extreme confusion and apparent intoxication of the desk clerk. Gawd, you'd h ave thought she was trying to set up a cold fusion generator or something, bless her heart.

on a non-Leland note: Sass in the Pants, thanks so much for the books, and your twinsies are adorable! As the old folks say, "looks like you spit 'em out!"

 I missed cool peoples.....

So I decided to do one of those old-fashioned shout posts to everyone with lil comments for those I remembered

Bean and I had a really good time.

We were a little sad, because it was Halloween, and Halloween means candy, and the best kind of candy is:

ODIMS/CANDY!!! but they were off doing their thing so that's cool.

Dollar Dave: Thanks for the investigation on Bean and my personal lives.

In all honesty, it'll really help for my upcoming court appearance with the ex.

Now that I'm prepared though, you don't need to do that again. Thanks.

Oh and Bean says hi!

Jinxxed/GRG: You guys are too nice. It looked like you too had quite a good time with each other too :sorcerer:

Tzura/Nightgaunt: We've gotta get together sometime. At the least at a party or someplace without a thousand people, and jackasses yelling for no apparent reason. Loved the costumes too. I want those "white out eyes"

EnviousPoppet/Alaska Sunrise: Same to you. Wish we could've talked more. Bean says hi to you as well.

Good meeting you Slogo (Thanks for noticin the little Obama button on my cape)

oh, and

Tazteewonderbunny too--

UR smrt and DGN/CC needs that now and again just to shake things up a bit

and Bean now remembers you and is happy for it :jamin

oh and

The Lord of Sins too. That's great you and GRG are so happy.

In between the lesbian molestations  ,

you two look like a really cute couple.

Chernobyl--Miss DGN. You need to tell me what you'll be doing for the next year of your crowning achievement.

Poisoning young children?

Making a new hierarchy where cats and hamsters reign supreme over all humans?

Declaring Three Mile Island the next great American theme park?

We'll await your first royal move.

Rev.--We are the choir and you are our preacher. We'll have to see OMG next time too.

HILLE!-- I miss you!!! Even when we didn't hang out, it was nice knowing you were down the street. Now that I'm halfway across the state, you have to let me know when you're in town. Come to Bean and my house. We'll make dinner. That or Bean will make dinner, and I'll take half credit

I'm glad you had fun at the ICP show. We loved your whiskers, even if they were itchy.

TONIGHT---

I was ready to stay in, but Bean wanted a repeat performance, so we will be out again.

Since I was the Count last night, and since this election is ridiculously important to me, I'm going to come completely

Obama-ized. Since I don't believe in preemptive engagement, I won't bring up politics unprovoked, but I thought I'd warn you all so you don't roll your eyes too much when I see you.

Oh, and Bean (who CAN'T WAIT for this election cycle to end--so she can have her husband back)

will accept all sympathies for having to be my Obamaside at the club.

Eeek! I knew I was forgetting people... how could I leave out Jinxxxed Angel & Tasteewonderbunny? My extreme bad!

I was in my bra & some short shorts

Yes and you fit in nicely... I've never seen so many cantilevered breasts in my life! Between that and all the little girlies rockin' the electrical tape, T. and our noob friend were totally stunned by all the eye candy.

Eternal I miss you too... I should be getting down that way more often now that (a) Cherry Lane season is over; (b) gas is a bit more reasonably priced (altho I suspect they'll jack it up again after the election, so far my predictions in that line have proven entirely accurate); © I am not quite as impoverished as I've been; and (d) I have this WONDERFUL new fuel-efficient vehicle which I dearly love. Anyway I would be honored to have a meal prepared by Beanie's own hands and your own spirit!

And... mad props to my beloved Tokagemaru who has recently gone on the wagon and made it through the whole crazywild night without a drop of alcohol! Perhaps that isn't something that should be brought up here but dammit I am proud of my sweetie so errone has to hear about it!

I had a nice time seeing everyone, thanks to Jess and Tits for inviting me to their pre-party. Had fun chillin in the diner for a minute eatin' french fries and chatting it up with Spook. Laughed quite a bit when LordOfSins got some uhhhh "experiment" on his lab coat ;).

I'm a bit mad that Marvin mixed those long islands with 151, because had he not I'm sure Miss DetroitGothic.Net 2008 would have been a bit more uhmmm graceful, if you catch my drift  (and probably would have stayed longer too). I was more hungover on Saturday than I've been since New Year's Day about two years ago.

So other than the fact that I got too smashed too quick, I had an overall nice time. Ran into Constantin's nerd ass with his little lights on his glasses . Everyone had some cool costumes going on, Nightgaunt freaked me the hell out a few times. Tszura's crazy makeup was trippin' me out hardcore. Talked with Enishi for a minute, which was sweet, and same with TWB (I even coerced her into grabbing my boyfriend....HOTT ). I think I lost my sash once and also my tiara, but was able to find them and luckily left with all my costume props.

Rambo is one SEXY lady .

So see everyone there next year :) (and this time I'll remember to get a pitcher instead of a triple strong long island ).

And apparantly my exposed tits were seen, so uhmmm....congradulations to anyone who saw them and I'm sorry if you didn't, better luck next time I'm ridiculously wasted and can't stand up well while wearing a low cut dress.

Oh and Stormknight...next year buddy...next year when you least expect it...

Was planning not to be in costume that night. But then I thwacked myself realizing, "you're a LARPer, twit!" I then broke into my LARP gear box and broke out my flighht suit. I must really want to dress up, because I really, really don't like wearing boots. It was a good night.

Oh and Stormknight...next year buddy...next year when you least expect it...

Proof is in the vomitus, lady...as Ash would say, "Come get some." =P

Guest greyhalo

Wow, I totally missed Halloween this year due to illness. So did OMG apparently. It's always weird when you miss holidays. That's happened to me with X-mas a couple of times because I had pneumonia.

Anyway, it sounds like it was a good night at CC. I'm happy I at least went to Theatre Bizarre last Saturday.

(I always post on these type threads late and never seem to finish them.)

It was good seeing so many people! Came with Rev, of course. Really wished OMG could have been there. Met Bean Water for the second time. BTW, BW, I saw T & N at the Pike Room the very next night. Niche and I gushed about you--were your ears burning? Was so nice to meet you, Eternal. Hope we get to talk longer sometime, some place where it's not quite so loud.

Had me a very strong gin & gin and a very large grin because of it. Got some good feelies in on a lot of folk, and some in return. How fun! Yeah, Chernobyl, Pestilence has a very decent ass.

Happy to meet also Pomba Gira. Saw also Punk Princess (w/ & w/o costume), Tanuki, Tzura, Nightgaunt, JynxxedAngel & Dollar Dave (nice to make your acquaintance, both of you), Constantin, Enishi, GothicRavenGoddess, met for the first time TheLordofSins, and I saw Prick, of course, and nearly all of him.

Saw also but did not really converse with, but 'hi' to you anyway: DarkAngel and Crank and eleven and more, but my mind is blanking. It really was nearly all gin I was drinking. Hope nobody feels left out and hope to see you all again!

Oh damn! How could I have forgotten: I humped DBK's head. I saw Spook, like twice and StormKnight in passing. Sorry for the omissions. (I feel bad now.)

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
