TrixieGothGirl
I have read some of the responses here, and I just had to weigh in on this. Some ppl say marijuana should remain illegal, saying that it is a gateway drug. EXCUSE ME? Ever since the begining of the 20th century, this poor little plant has been criminalized because of the properties that it posseses. People say it is a gateway drug to much harder drugs. I say BULLSHIT!!!. If that were the case, I would have been 'strung out' years ago. I say legalize it. I've never known anyone whose ever OD'd from using too much pot. I HAVE known ppl who drank themselves to death & who've died from lung cancer from smoking. Hell, if I had had any pot to give to my mom when she was dying a very slow painful death, I would've given it to her, and she told me back then that she would've had smoked it. It may have taken away some of the pain and I know it would've given her more of an appetite than the Morphin that she was on. She was taking that in pill form at 350 mg per pill & that wasn't taking away hardly any of her pain. Our government should DEcriminalize it. That's just my 2 cents worth. You are the only one to mention 'gateway drug' My opposition to this law has absolutely nothing to do with it being used for medical purposes, or whether or not it SHOULD be decriminalized. it IS against federal law, as such this proposition is unconstitutional. TO GB:I really was waiting for these Kiddz to understand; I'll tell them for you. To the arguing faction: HE IS UNEQUIVOCALLY CORRECT! You can not argue with a piece of paper, & this guy reads REALLY GOOD! He sees loopholes like I see patterns...give it a rest Kiddz... This matter is NOT open to interpretation. Like he already said (but nicer)... ..It is in plain fucking English. If you can not understand THAT, go ask HeadWreck for lessons in it. BACK TO GB: How do we rectify this; Leagally? How much of a "fight" is it going to be? Do you think that these kidds have enough "gumption" to see the task through? Or do we have to let the Old Hippies do ALL the advocating? Which means getting someone to sponsor a Bill that would legalize it and then getting enough people in the House and Senate to vote for it and then getting the President to sign it into law. Advocacy groups have been trying to do this for years.

Advocacy groups populated by Old Hippies. They are not being taken seriously.(Very often)...I think if more Non-Old-Non-Hippies joined the "Crusade"; they could have a better chance of being taken seriously. I ave seen allot of peoples talking of this. EVERYONE who feels a TUG about this issue; should REALLY contact their Representatives, & Senators. FUCK IT...send mail to Obama...(after he's in.)(NOT BEFORE; those letters will be disregarded; I'M SURE.)
